This is not your typical Subway. It does not have all the deals that Subway has and they also don’t honor the Subway Card or points. I can go two blocks in the opposite direction and get all the above! I only go here on occasion when my husband and I want a variety to choose from, since he is a picky eater, it is easy for him to grab a sub while I grab something else in the food court. The last time I went my husband and I both ordered a sub that day and the lady put them in separate bags, and when we went to check out, the manager I am guessing, got upset because we were together, so he made it clear to the employee that she was being wasteful with the subway bags… I felt uncomfortable and the employee just apologized profusely to the manager and explained she didn’t know we were together. It was an honest mistake, but really? Over a to go bag?

I was buying a sandwich for a homeless man and myself to share before a UK game. I asked the gentleman what kind of bread he liked and what kind of meat he liked so that we could get a $ 5 footlong. We got through the line and I ordered a footlong honey oat with tuna. I asked them to cut it in half and place on two separate papers because I was headed to work and we also were not interested in the same toppings. When I got to the register, the owner rang me up for two 6 inch tuna sandwiches, bringing my total to $ 11 and some change. I then realized they do not do the $ 5 footlong deal at this particular subway, which is fine, so I understood I was going to be paying $ 8. The owner refused to ring it up as a footlong tuna and charge me $ 8 because they were wrapped separately«they are two different sandwiches»… I asked the homeless man if he needed a drink, he said no, so I told him to please take his sandwich and have a blessed evening. Once he walked away, I gave this subway owner a piece of my mind. I told him«I’m just trying to help out a hungry person. We got the same bread and meat, but you want to come up on a dollar so you are trying to charge me almost $ 12 for two separate sandwiches??!» His response was«well ma’am, you had them wrapped separately, that makes them two sandwiches. And nobody told you you had to feed that man. You made that decision». At that point I vowed to not eat at his establishment that I frequent often as my office is very close and I work in Rupp Arena every home game. I told him he could ring me up for an $ 8 tuna sandwich because I refuse to pay an extra $ 4 for the paper they wrapped the other 6 inch sandwich in. He finally rang me up for $ 8.48 with the warning«this will not happen again. Next time it will be normal price!» And I reassured him that there would be no next time.
