A very nice b&b, with a gracious hostess who was happy to accommodate my husband’s dietary restrictions. We stayed in the pool room which was spacious, with lots of light from several skylights and windows, and obviously an awesome pool table. The bathroom was clean with very nice towels and plenty of hot water and the bed was comfortable with nice pillows and sheets. The house is set in a quiet residential neighborhood just minutes from downtown Lexington. We only stayed one night, but it was very relaxing and well worth the money — much nicer than a hotel!

The only thing that I could have wished for was that we could have stayed more than one night! Alex was absolutely wonderful, and the room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was freshly baked and delicious! Alex also went out of her way to help us get our laundry caught up. Thank you so much, Alex!

We stayed here for three nights. The booking were made on the website of the b&b and some further communication were typed and sent on e-mail. There are three rooms upstairs, each with it’s own name. We had the sunset room. It has it’s own rooms, one with toilet and sink and one with a shower. We found both the house itself and it’s neighborhood to have a picturesque and relaxing quality. There is cable tv on the room and Internet is available both as wifi and cabled. A small fridge is available upstairs. The fridge is shared between the rooms. Alix, the owner, is a very nice woman. Breakfast is at 8am. Part of it was freshly made and with a different selection each morning. Some of the food we enjoyed were potatoes, eggs, french toast, strawberries and pancakes. There were additional options too. To drink we had coffee, a selection of teas and orange juice. Another guest, with whom we shared enjoyable conversation over breakfast, were staying in the pool room. Each of the rooms upstairs is different from the other. They differ in size. One has a pool table. We very much enjoyed our stay at this b&b.

Was in the Boston area to pick up our son from his end of semester break– it was B&B slow season — I was the only guest that night –yet it was obvious that Alix had nonetheless held nothing in reserve hospitality wise. Terrific conversation, a well appointed and completely unique sky lighted room and over and beyond genuine local day trip advisory(Morgan’s Rest is the house she grew up in) made my stay like visiting family… In sum, in Lexington, you won’t go wrong at this hidden gem PS– the unmade bed in my photo is my own handy work– NOT the innkeepers

Alix and her family are fantastic hosts. We enjoyed staying at Morgan’s Rest. My family members were in the other two rooms and all of us had comfortable beds and private bath. Alix often bakes bread in the morning and waking up to the smell of fresh baked bread is wonderful. Alix has had an interesting life and we enjoyed speaking to her in the morning about her many adventures. I recommend this bed and breakfast without hesitation.

Great find! Had a last minute trip to the Belmont /Cambridge area, and found this place. Very New England, small and quaint with a very helpful host. However our room, the Pool Room, was HUGE. Here for family reasons, but many of the guests took the train into Boston.
