We try to adhere to the tradition of the «greasy spoon». If you’re lookin’ for health food, you’re at the wrong place. Our hotdogs are what the locals love about are little «dive“and our chili is true to the origin of chili, it’s a sauce, not real meaty. It also leans to the sweet side, as opposed to spicy or bland. Our burgers are hand pattied daily with an ⁸⁰⁄₂₀ blend of beef bought locally, they attract a lot of attention these days. Our Kearney Burger is offered in ½lb or full pound (the double) versions, served with Conrad & Hinkle pimento cheese, 3 whole slices of bacon and a hint of mayo. If you don’t like sloppy, don’t order this feast! All our veggies are bought locally from C&H, and we are a vending spot for their famous pimento cheese, and it can be added to any ‘dog or sandwich on request! We have standard, but we serve ‘em the way you want ‘em. We are a walk up with a Deacon’s bench where you can sit to enjoy. See ya’ at the window!

History

Established in 1967.

Kearney and Dottie Koonts owned a full service restaurant across the street from the current location of Kearney’s Drive-​In. The original Kearney’s hotdog sales were so brisk that Kearney sold the full service restaurant, moved across the street and offered a much simpler menu which included the famous hotdogs served today. Kearney passed in 1994, with Dottie carrying on until reluctantly parting with Kearney’s Drive-​In in 1999. In 2006, after a short term of a son’s sentimental ownership, the current owners purchased Kearney’s and began to return it as close as possible to the original menu offered by Kearney & Dot. Family members and regulars often comment that things are «as if they never changed» The new owner’s were so enamored with the «order at the window» layout at Kearney’s, a now semi-​famous slogan has developed that we will leave you with: «See ya’ at the window!» When you hear it, you’ll know where to meet!

Steve is a legend at Kearney’s Drive-​In! He has 30+ years of seeing kids who have come to the window and become parents (and grand-​parents) themselves, now bringing their kids to get a Kearney’s Famous ‘Dog. He loves to… See ya’ at the window!
