While traveling the bourbon trail with my girlfriends, we stopped in the Lexington area to soak up the horse culture. Jot-​em Down Store offers a variety of beverages and a deli in a convenience store atmosphere. But don’t let that fool you. On race day, you’ll find some friendly locals inside watching the horse races. You can learn more here than at the actual race track. Not to mention the deli sandwiches are generously portioned. I felt like a local and loved every minute.
