Days Inn and Suites Lexington

Poorly designed facility, only one elevator for three sections. Garage sale furniture except the bed. Toilet did not work properly. Only 2 thin towels. Sausage and gravy, no eggs, no Decaf coffee, limited fruit.

its my first time at this location. i must say that it is pretty nice. The staffs were great. Great service!

Yuck. Definitely not a good choice to stay here. It smelled like a musty basement. Old, and outdated. Uncomfortable mattress with sandpaper sheets. Bathtub faucet leaked. Walls are paper thin. Price was $ 76. But not worth half that.

I sent my Mom here on her Wyndam Points conversion. Total total Dump room was not cleaned when they checked in. The housekeeping had gone home they cleaned it themselves including the sheets. Floor and walls are dirty. Looks like a rent by the hour joint in the Bronx.

The building is pretty old and not updated, so it has a really dingy feel.
Things were definitely missed by the cleaning crew and it’s tough to get up to the higher floor rooms.

This hotel has good and bad points, and I’m giving 2.5 stars, rounding up to help their average from the old really poor reviews. There’s definitely significant room for improvement here, but it’s not at the level of a mere one star. It’s a pretty big property, with three levels, lots of twists and turns and long hallways. Fortunately there is good signage so you don’t get lost. Ice machines and snack machines were not ubiquitous, but they were available.
We had a hot tub room. The room was quite spacious and more than adequately furnished. We had the typical long dresser above which hung the flatscreen TV, along with a table suitable for eating, computing, or writing comfortably, which actually included not the usual one but two chairs. There was also a lounge chair and hassock, and good-​sized sort of dry bar countertop over the refrigerator, which held the coffee maker and microwave. It had plenty of counter space plus cabinets and drawers! Combined with the dining table, this made for really comfortable in-​room snacking and drinking.
The hot tub. Great idea, with one curtained opening in the bathroom and another curtain opening toward the bed for a romantic setting. Water temp and pressure were fine and it was a good size. BUT: total absence of any handgrips made it seriously perilous to climb in and out. Standing up in it if you want to shower, if you slip you are going down hard. Can’t believe building code allows this. The other issue was the placement of the water controller and the spigot. When you turned it on, you couldn’t reach to feel the temperature of the water coming out without walking around to the other side!
We stayed two nights. There was no sound on a few TV channels, maintenance was dispatched and it was fixed while we were out the first night. Bathroom lighting was very poor. On the second day, the house keeping service merely made the bed, emptied garbage cans and emptied one of the two ashtrays in our smoking room. It was obvious they had not wiped down the countertops nor did they provide new soap and shampoo.
Our keys were deactivated after the first night, which was a huge inconvenience. I don’t know if this is some new security standard in the hotel industry, but at least INFORM your guests upon checking in and PAYING for two nights.
Connected saloon and restaurant was a huge plus, a great place I will review separately. You can walk to it through a connecting hall without having to go outside (which came in real handy in the rain) but after 7 PM, at least on the weekends, that entrance is closed because the bar has cover charge due to live music. Hear this… The proximity of this great eatery/​drinkery might be a huge MINUS depending on the location of your room. For sure I would say that rooms 201 to 215 or so will hear the pounding beat from the dance floor all night long.
The staff members we encountered were very sweet, friendly, helpful, polite, and eager to do their best to please. And it seemed to be pretty easy to find someone if you needed something. They are probably the biggest factor in rounding up the rating.
We never did try the breakfast so can’t comment on that.
The location is just a short drive from downtown Lexington. We would consider staying here again as the price is right, and now we know the ups and downs.

We came in Lexington for the fair. We stayed 10 days in Days Inn hotel. I have never had so bad experience in my life! The room it was dirty and they only cleaned it once. The bathroom really bad! We had to call the front desk in order to put fresh towels and toilet paper. Every time the cleaning ladies they were saying that they forgot our room. Just like that! One night the people In the next room they had a fight till 4:30 in the morning, we called the front desk but nothing happened! Two nights after that the dogs from the room across the hall were barking so loud at 1:00 am. Again we called the front desk nothing happened! If you need a hotel to stay in Lexington there are so many other places don’t make the same mistake like we did, stay somewhere else.
