Cha Cha’s

I can’t say enough good things about Cha Cha’s. I may be biased because Jason and Charlene have been doing my hair since 2001, when they operated a salon in Florence, Alabama. Our paths crossed again after they relocated to Lexington and I became a student at UK. I now live in Atlanta and I kid you not, I have driven the 5.5 hours to Lexington just for one of them to cut and color my hair (well, okay, maybe that and some brunch at Doodle’s and a box of Magee’s Doughnuts, but mostly for a haircut). They are just that good at what they do. Not only are they and their entire staff extremely talented professionals, but they are genuinely good people who care about their clients. Additionally, the salon is gorgeous. You can totally trust your hair to Cha Cha’s!

Stopped in as a walk in when I moved back to Lexington in 2013 and had a perfect blow out and hair cut with Josh. When I called to schedule an appointment a few weeks later Josh was fully booked, so I scheduled a cut with Stacia (who turns out was Josh’s wife)! Point being that this is one of those rare gem salons where you can feel free to book a last minute appointment with any stylist and know you are in good hands. I had been going to Voce for years and just did not receive the level of service that Cha Cha’s has to offer. I was so accustomed to being charged completely different rates every time for the same basic trim and clear gloss. I honestly expected to wait 30 minutes for a hungover/​distracted stylist who would chat with other employees or gossip with clients because that was the norm! One of the first things I noticed when I started coming to this salon is that everyone who works there has great hair. That should be a tip off because I have definitely been in salons where the stylists hair looks broken off and overprocessed! Stacia was the first person I trusted to put color in my hair after 22 years and I have been from dark to light with her. She does a great job of listening and is focused on making your hair look great. And if you ever need to get a blow-​out, come here because Cha Cha’s does a way better job than DryArt and actually charges about $ 8 less! My blow outs here last 3 – 5 days and I have thick hair that falls flat. Everyone in this salon seems to really enjoy what they do, which makes for an atmosphere that is both warm and professional. The front desk is also very helpful and I have never had to wait even 5 minutes after booking appointments consistently for the last two years. Lexington has a lot of hair salons for its size and Cha Cha’s is a great example of the quality service and genuine atmosphere that local businesses offer.

I love this salon! The atmosphere is great. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. Stacia is my stylist and she is fantastic! She knows exactly what I want done and never tries to pressure me into buying the whole salon to achieve my look which I love. I’m definitely a long time customer.

Took a shot in the dark with this place on my way to work. Couldn’t be happier. Awesome atmosphere and Mackenzie did a great job. Will be back

I just recently moved to Lexington from out of town and needed to find a new place to cut my hair. This place had high reviews online, so I figured it would be a good place to try out. I stopped in without making an appointment, which I read online was fine. The girl that greeted me explained that it would be a little wait, I really needed a haircut so I didn’t care. I waited inside for my turn, the building was really nice and clean which is probably the only good thing there. Once it was my turn, the stylist who took me yelled from the back where her chair was that it was my turn inside of coming up and telling me. It wasn’t a huge deal, but I thought it was a little rude. I explained the haircut I wanted. 3 guard on the side and scissors on top. By the end of the cut, It was way too short and there was a line where she didn’t even out the part where she started using scissors. I asked if she could fix it but I was told that was all my hair would do. I’ve had this cut for 10 years, so I’m sure the problem wasn’t my hair. But I will never go back and hope no guys go in expecting the haircut that they want.

Moved from Illinois, to S. Carolina to Texas and most recently to Kentucky, all within a 5 year span, having to once again begin the exhausting process for the best schools, doctors, restaurants and salons in each area.
Well, my search for an expert salon is over!
After reading the reviews online, I went in to Cha Cha’s for a cut and color, and
left 2 hours later looking and feeling beautiful.
(Nothing short of miraculous if you had seen my hair that morning!)
Charlene is really an expert in her profession and I am so grateful to
have found her this quickly!

This salon/​barber shop is the best in town. Very laid back atmosphere and great conversation makes the time fly while getting your hair cut.

If you need color, then Christina is your woman. With only weeks before my wedding, I needed a cut & color that was going to make me look great. Well, Christina did not disappoint. My hair looks GORGEOUS and everyone I know is giving me compliments on how great it looks, and very natural. Not only does she do great color, but she also gave me a rockin haircut! If you need a professional stylist who knows what she is doing, quit looking around and go see Christina at this awesome salon in Lexington! Thanks Cha Chas!

A great place to get your hair cut! Maggie has been my stylist for two years and she is very personable and professional! All of the staff are hospitable and their presence adds flavor to the retro ambiance of the salon. If your searching for a new stylist or barber, check them out!

Hands down best salon in Lexington — and I have just about tried them all. I am so happy to have finally found a place that consistently delivers. The whole staff is talented and so fun to be around. I would not trust my hair to anyone else!
