This father-​son home brew duo is legit. An excellent selection of home brew supplies, recipes, and ingredients can be found at BotB at reasonable prices.
Primarily beer based home brew, they also carry a decent wine home brew selection as well as the supplies to make other things at home like your own cheeses (for souls braver than mine!). We brought in a recipe that we want to try and they gathered ingredients for us as well as offered tips and suggestions for the best brew possible.
They also brew their own beer occasionally (at least monthly it seems) and are always open to showing off their newest mad scientist brew equipment creations which are impressive and way more sophisticated than my skill level.
If you have ever thought you would like to try making your own beer, these guys are a great resource to get you started. They are happy to answer questions and help you find the right equipment without breaking the bank. As we have gotten more adept at the brewing process its been fun to go back and compare notes and techniques. They have free seasonal recipes on site to get you going if you need some inspiration, and a free home brew magazine for beginners that is a nice perk for stopping in.

The Good: the staff, the selection, beer, cheese, and wine making classes.
The Bad: can’t do any tastings there.
The Rundown: This place is great, they have a large selection of beer making needs ranging from beginner level to small batch kind of brewing needs. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions you may have. They will help you brew your first beer giving you tips and all the knowledge you will need to do it at home.
The Impression: my first batch was a Smoked Jalapeño Porter, I’m going back to make me a Blonde/​Hefeweisen with orange peel and elderflower next, I can’t wait!

Holy Moly this is so Great! I am excited as a home brewer they have absolutely everything you need. From beer to cider, sake and wine and more right down to cheese making products too! They will be having classes on Home Brewing this Spring. Just ask about classes at the desk! Then get all the bells and whistles here! The aroma of the roasted grains in here is to die for! Roasted Barley, Floor Malted Bohemian, Rahr White Wheat, Flaked Barley, Briess Roasted Barley, Grambrinus Malts Honey Malt, Beech Smoked and Chocolate Rye to top it off!!!
