Pretty good boba. This place is located inside the mall on the south side closer to where Dicks is. I’m only giving this place 3 stars because I expected an actual sit down restaurant but other than that my boba smoothie was great.

I highly recommend not going to this place! I am scarred from their bubble tea forever. I asked the worker to make me a smoothie that was on the menu and she told me she didn’t know how to and asked me to choose another. The bubble tea she ended up making me was very gross and made me nauseous.

Let me say this, the sandwiches are DELICIOUS. I constantly crave the grilled pork sandwich. Full of flavor, extremely filling, sometimes I crave two. That’s the start to my review… Sometimes you have to start with the positives first, right? Coming from someone who has been in the service industry my whole life… and have family that owns their own restaurants and business’, I like to treat those who are paying us with the best service they can possibly recieve. Coming here has almost been a simple trade. Basically, tell them what you want, hand them the money, you get your food in 5 mins or so. No smiles, no thank yous, no way of making a patron feel good about spending money in small business’. I expect good service whether I’m in a 5 star restaurant or a mall kiosk(which is pretty much what Black Pearl is). I hate the mall and purposely go for the sandwich. so that’s saying something. Don’t treat your paying customers like they are a burden to you.

I started going here 2 weeks ago. I hot the green ice tea with popping bubble for roughly $ 5 which is ridiculously high, but if i like something i will support the business. I also got 2 macaroon cookies for $ 2.50 a piece, so i was spending $ 10.17 a day. The other day, i tried a dark chocolate macaroon cookies which was stale and gross. I tried it at the owners recommendation. I explained that the cookie was not good and i would like the wedding almond since she was out of my usual. She said«i cannot refund the cookie since i have to order them» i then brought out my cell phone and showed her where i have spent $ 10 a day with her for the past 2 weeks. I asked her was she really willing to risk a $ 10 daily customer over $ 2.50? She then(with much attitude) replaced the cookie. I have her both cookies back and told her to keep them both. I will find another place in Lexington who appreciates customers who not only spend money but spread the word about their business. If i could give a –5 star i would. The milk tea had too much powder and was absolutely gross!

Great, fresh bubble tea. They often give samples which is nice. Try the avocado! The staff is very friendly and helpful as well, and the location inside the mall is very convenient. I will definitely be up for being a regular there.

Other reviews say it expensive but it is completely worth it. I had the strawberry green tea with tapioca pearls, and I was in heaven! It’s was delicious and was seriously tempted on getting another one later that day. It may be expensive but it being the only bubble tea place in Lexington there is not much to compare. If I compare it to NYC it’s a lot cheaper and you get more bang for your buck. I will definitely be visiting this place over and over again!!!

Since moving to Kentucky, I have really missed being able to get boba tea locally. Naturally, I was beyond excited to find this place on Unilocal, only about an hour from where we live. The location is nice and easy to find in the mall, but I was completely turned off by the prices! I think $ 5 and some change for a boba tea is absolutely ridiculous. If you can get over the price for a once in a while splurge, I had the honeydew flavor and it tasted just like back at home.

My first experience with their bubble tea was great! I loved the strawberry milk tea with tapioca, so I decided to get it my second time at the mall today. They didn’t put that much powder in it at all this time, and it tasted pretty gross. Really disappointed considering the fact I spent 5 dollars for it. I don’t think I’ll be going back any time soon until they lower there price so it won’t be too much of a risk.

If you need boba aka pearls aka bubble and some fake powders turned into juice with the miracle of water, then this is the place to go. It is smack dab across from the Fossil shop in Fayette Mall. I applaud the fact they offer Jellies or Crystals and love the fact they have boba. I do hate the fact that the only real fruit they use to make any of their drinks is the avocado. That kinda made me bitter. The worker was super slow and not very happy to be working there in general. She also didn’t like me asking if they used real fruits or just powders. They also sold vietnamese sandwiches and random pasteries from around the world. I don’t really understand their concept. Oh well. I got boba and real fruit, but not going to be heading back here anytime soon.

Great little bubble tea stand in the mall! They have bubble tea, smoothies and Vietnamese banh mi sandwich and some pastries. I’ve had the green milk tea with boba, it’s pretty good, they only comes in one size(24oz) for about $ 5 after tax. The macarons are delicious, it’s $ 2.50 per piece though. Its located right by the Dick sporting goods.

Definitely an interesting dining place, located inside Fayette Mall. I found this place as I was doing an event in the Dick’s Sporting Goods located in the same terminal. I got the Pine Colada with Coconut Jelly. The drink comes in a 24 oz and is flavorful. I think the only downside to this place, was that the smoothie was pricey. $ 5.29 including taxes.
