Disappointed — pasta overdone, chicken Parma poor. Pizzas are OK. Will not return in the foreseeable future.

The quality of the meal is greatly diminished by untimely and poor service. Food arrived after considerable delay all at the same time but without utensils, plates, and serviceware. Beverages were not served until food arrived. We normally like this restaurant’s food but in this case good food was no longer enjoyable. Had been a monthly regular for years and over time have seen service decline but now poor service is ruining the entire experience. Won’t be returning anytime soon.

Wow. Where is the management? The food is good, but the service staff is untrained and in disarray. I wish that there was another Bertucci’s close by. Corporate needs to visit this place to protect its image.

I have never written a Unilocal review, but I feel compelled to warn the public who choose to eat here. The food is okay, but what is so bad about this location is the service. I ate here with my kids and brother a few nights ago and waited 20 minutes for them to bring WATER to the table. I flagged down two servers who said they would check on who our server was, and never came back. Finally I had to flag down a busboy who found a server for us. What I find most insulting, as a customer and as someone who works in the food industry, is that no manager ever came over to apologize for this horrific experience. I won’t return.

This service here is absolutely horrid. First, we waited for 30 minutes for a table, which is normally fine, but there were at least 5 open tables. Then we were seated and waited an additional 15 minutes for water, after having to ask a bus boy for it. We never even got to see or speak to a server because, after sitting for 25 minutes waiting at an empty table, we left. I haven’t done a Unilocal review in years, but this place was so bad that I felt compelled to write one. The food is good, based on other experiences with Bertucci’s, just go to another location.

I usually like Bertucci’s, the food is good and the rolls are out of this world. But the service on the other hand is pure garbage. Nothing like waiting for twenty minutes for a Coke. I loved watching families come in, be seated, and then leave because the servers were too busy. By busy I mean standing around, standing in front of the restaurant smoking. A slice of pizza served with a nice side of the stench of second hand smoke is awesome… After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, actually 45 minutes for a stupid pizza, our food finally came. It was nice and piping cold. I didn’t even bother to send it back, I figured it would’ve taken at least 45 minutes. My son got the average kid dish of Mac and cheese and he asked for grated cheese to sprinkle on it. The grated cheese container, I think the only one in the restaurant was empty. I told another server and it seemed as if making the customer happy was too much to handle. As we were walking out the door the awesome server nearly smacked the door in my son’s face… You know just had to go puff on that cigarette.

My wife recently went there for a office xmas party. Five of her staff came down with food poisoning. All had chills, throwing up and diarrhea! They all said it stemmed from the spinach and artichoke dip… I hope the restaurant will improve their health and safety standards.

Okay — I’m self-admittedly a pizza snob raised in NYC and NJ. If you are not one, then disregard my review. If you are looking for pizza similar to what we have back home — then read on. Bertuccis pizza can be underrated because it’s a chain — but it is solid pizza. I give their pizza 4 stars. I must give them 3 stars though because it is over $ 20 for a large. I know it’s not just a pizza shop but come on!

Not even just a bad restaurant, this is a bad Bertucci’s!!! Don’t even think you can just pop in here for a cheap and easy meal, it just took our waiter 40mins to get us our drinks… Just don’t bother with this place

They need new staff. They seem to confused and unable to handle the traffic. But this is one of the poorly managed Bertucci. I have had great experiences at Bertucci before but this one is not good. Avoid it if you can.

Disappointment after disappointment. Initial greeting from 3+ host staff was awkward; they just starred and no one seemed to know how to properly greet guests. They were too busy talking amongst themselves and worrying about their to-go food. My server, Brian, was slow and bring a full bottle of wine. Usually, when a table orders a bottle, you get some attention — not so. Then I hear a BS excuse I have to order food before I get my wine(which I was planning to do) but now I felt like I had to bend to these made-up rules. This is not a venue with professional service, poor food knowledge and even worth stepping in the door. By the way, I’ve never given a 1-star on Unilocal until now.

Never went to this location, until today. Will never go again. I had an hour until the movie across the way started. Host told me for one it would be at least ½ hour before I was seated. I asked if I was seated in that time, would I be served in half an hour. He said probably not. He suggested I go elsewhere. He gets a star for being honest, which I appreciate, but no more. I would have gotten take out had he offered that as an option. I did not feel like it once he said I should go somewhere else. If they don’t want my business then they won’t get it. So the deli across the street got my take out business.

Have never been to one of those chains before — service was great. Got a pizza without cheese and the waitress got me a salad without cheese also — both were delicious.

Staff was totally schizoid. People standing around doing nothing while we waited to be seated. No silverware. Forever to get served and food was not that good. Flatbed and child’s pizza was like cardboard. Chicken parm was dry and sauce had no flavor. Other meals were only ok but nothing to rave about.

Hey — This Bertucci’s is much better than its rating. The endless soup and salad combo is a bargain(around $ 8); and a tasty one. I sat outside with a friend on a balmy summer night with a couple of glasses of Malbec(the cheaper one of the two on their list). I couldn’t have been happier. Our waiter was very friendly, helpful and attentive. I wish service was that good elsewhere. I have avoided like any other chain restaurant, but now I cannot do this anymore, because food, service and ambiance were really good.

Bettuccies is awesome! I work in a child care center and every summer once a week we take our 2 and 3 year old class once a week to eat a special lunch treat! Even though they open at 11 they don’t mind if we are right at the door waiting for them to open;) the waitresses/hostesses are so friendly, they love our kids. We have 6 to 9 kids at a time:) they compliment always on how good our kids are. Wednesday’s kids eat free with a free dessert(hoodsie) for all of you that have children. It’s an awesome incentive. Ask for Laurie our waitress who we absolutely love. she rocks!!! Awesome with children! Very friendly always has a smile on her face and very out going! We love her!;)

I’m confused over how 2 people at the front desk can’t figure out where to sit people if its not busy and there is plenty of room. A table for 2 does sound pretty simple, but shouldn’t take almost 2 minutes to figure out where have us seated. The drink was perfect and strong. The appetizer was great. Ordered a mozzerella fritta and got 3 triangles of fried cheese with some pasta sauce. Very tasty! I ordered a chicken parma and it was much larger than i thought. I finished most of the chicken and had some of the pasta before tapping out and being too full to continue. The waitress was great and even recommended not to get a certain drink because people haven’t been happy with it. I think it was called a Sang ’ Rita. Parking is tough, but it was a great day for a walk.

I’ve always enjoyed the food at Bertucci’s. Conveniently located in Lexington center, this location is top notch. Parking can be a bit of a struggle during peak hours. The food here is what I’ve come to expect from all bertuccis. I’m a big fan of the sporkie pizza and the rolls here are great. When I’ve gotten take out here, I’ve had to wait longer than anticipated several times during peak hours. The staff does seem a little overwhelmed at times. Overall I’d say the service is about average. I’ll definitely continue coming here, the location is too good and the food too tasty to pass up.

I usually begin reviews with food, but my experience here with the service was just so TERRIBLE that I feel the need to lead with it. Service: The place HAD been packed before we were seated, but the crowd was dying down so we were expecting decent service. It took our waitress about 10 – 15 minutes to finally get to our table to take down our orders and give us water. After another 10 minutes, our pitcher of Red Sangria came out, yet still no bread or salad. Five minutes pass and our salad comes out, but still no bread. After almost an HOUR of waiting for our entrée and at least some complementary bread, we finally ask our waitress what’s going on… and she replies«You can talk to my manager if you want.» Instead of giving us an explanation of what’s going on, she just directs us to the manager(which hadn’t even crossed our minds, we just wanted our food). Mind you, we finished the pitcher of sangria at this point. Five minutes after this, our food comes out COLD. It was obviously waiting there for a while — the pasta wasn’t hot and neither was the plate… and still no bread. On top of that, they hadn’t given us any utensils to eat our food(they took our salad forks away). At this point, the situation was absolutely unacceptable and I went to the manager to complain. We ended up getting our entire bill comp’d for, but it still doesn’t make up for the fact that we had to wait over 1.5 hours to get a basket of bread and warm entrees in front us, not to mention utensils to eat it with. Food: The time waiting for the food was definitely not worth it. My pasta was dry– didn’t have enough alfredo sauce and at this point, so much time had past that I wasn’t hungry anymore. I will give them stars for the Red Sangria though. It was really good! The best part of the meal, and it came out quickly. I don’t know if I would give Bertucci’s a second chance… maybe for their Red Sangria.

I have never dined at another Bertucci’s location, so I can’t vouch other Unilocalers’ review saying how this one is rather disappointing in comparison to the other ones. We stopped in because it was still some time before the tree lighting ceremony in the park right next to the restaurant. Our party had 3 adults and 2 kids(4 and 2), and a baby. The restaurant was pretty busy with many other kids. I think most of the people were also there for the tree lighting ceremony. Although it was busy, we were not neglected at all. We waited for maybe around 5~10 minutes for out table. Once we were seated, we were greeted and given a basket of bread and a plate of olive oil with seasoning. The kids were given kid’s menu with a small packet of dough to play with! The kids had great fun playing with the dough and coloring the menu when we were not busy stuffing our face with the bread. I really like their bread. It has a nice crust outside, but inside it’s still soft. Not to mention its still steamy hot! The kids also really enjoyed the bread. We ordered 2 large pizza, one pepperoni and one with roasted zucchini, eggplant, and garlic. We all preferred the one with roasted veggies. The pizza is nice and thin. Large is very large. One large pizza could probably have fed all of us, but one can never have too much pizza! They are generous with toppings. You get huge slices/chunks of eggplant and zucchini. The roasted garlics also come in huge whole cloves! One thing I did not particular like about the pizza is how greasy/oily it is. Both the veggie one and the pepperoni one were very oily. If I go back, I would try to ask them to be easy on the olive oil. Other than that, I thought the pizza was great. Service was good. We finished our meal just in time to see Santa and the tree lighting ceremony!
