An allergist is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of asthma and hay fever (nasal and eye allergies), as well as: sinus problems, food allergies, drug allergies, eczema, hives, and stinging insect allergies. Our allergists have trained at least five years beyond medical school. Advanced training includes a residency in internal medicine or pediatrics and at least two years in an approved allergy training program that includes training in pulmonary disease, dermatology, and ENT (ear, nose and throat).
