I highly recommend Abe’s. Honest. Good quality and a fair price, and willing to explain and take time. I have used him for multiple repairs. He saved me several thousand $ by advising against a repair that other garages had recommended. I recommend him to my friends, whether they ask or not!

I have been using Abes for seven or eight years with several cars. They are honest, trustworthy, and will go out of their way to save you money on parts and repairs. They do everything from oil changes to major repairs, and I am pleased to recommend them highly.

All i can say is praise the Lord! I drive in from Philadelphia with something strange going on with my transmission. After reading the only two reviews on Unilocal i decided to say a prayer and make the call. I spoke to someone on the phone who was extremely nice. He asked slot of questions about the symptoms and thought it wasn’t the transmission at all. At first he wasn’t going to take my car until the afternoon, but after finding out i was from out of town and figuring the issue with my car would be a relatively quick fix, he agreed to take my car in the am. I arrived and he fixed my car while i waited. On top of it all, he didn’t break the bank! He was very nice and friendly and didn’t try to rip me off. It was such a blessing!

I was passing through Lexington on business when the radiator in my rental was damaged by road debris. Abe’s was the nearest open shop and they were nice enough to look at my car as soon as I got in. The owner was willing to quickly order parts and get the car fixed by the next day. But instead, he showed me how to use my credit card’s rental insurance to cover the repairs for free through the rental car agency.
Abe’s went out of their way to help me, even when it meant money out of their pocket.

I’ve been using Abe on and off for my auto repair for the last 15 years. Yes the owner’s name is Abe and Abe is typically the one that answers the phone. I can’t imagine a more trustworthy mechanic. Despite the name on the business, Abe also does domestic cars as well. He has fixed my Volvo, my Buick, our Lexus, our Toyota and others over the years. There’ve been so many times when I’ve had that fear of getting the call about the price of the repair and been pleasantly surprised. My wife brought her car to Abe couple of years ago for a transmission issue that we were unable to find initially. Abe didn’t even charge for labor while the problem remained elusive, and he said that we will take care of it when we find the problem. That’s the kind of mechanic you can trust. Just like some of the best restaurants are little holes in the walls at place you’d would rarely notice, Abes Foreign Auto is the gem in a simple Garage on Versailles Road.
