Uptown Cheapskate

This is a great place to shop! If you don’t mind second hand used clothes this is the place! I love how everything on here is seasonal makes things easier. I wish they would sell formal dresses but everything they have there is great.
The girls that work there are great, very helpful!
I really like this place, they have really nice stuff for a very very very good price!

I agree with the previous posts about the tweenish styles. The name uptown connotes more sophistication and less teeny boppers. Anyways, I thought the girl at the counter was rude and condescending. I won’t be back and will tell others of my experience. I was hoping that this would be nicer that CCA, but I was wrong.

This is a really nice establishment with beautiful clothing and accessories. They are not a «accepts all» establishment, so their clothes are up-​to-​date. They accepted my XL/​XXL clothing even though they said they only do junior sizes. I think by that they meant not «old-​woman» clothing.
Prices are very reasonable and they do pay you a decent amount for your stuff-​depending on the quality.
Their stuff is all by sizes and within the sizes some of it is even done by colors.
Downside: not much of a selection of larger shoes (I’m a size 11) and their plus size stuff is limited, albeit, it is present. I loved my experience and I plan to go back sometime soon.
I will add: they donate any clothing you don’t sell back to a Christian second-​hand store that relies solely on donations. This is, if you don’t want your stuff back to try and sell somewhere else.

I agree with Tonja. The shoes, jewelry and purses are great but the clothes are all very tweenish…
It’s all shorty shorts, mesh shirts and mini skirts.
Not alot for anyone over twentyish.
That being said, their prices are reasonable, everything is very clean and the store has a good vibe. I go in once a week or so to look at everything besides the clothes. If they got a more diverse selection of clothes, I would give them 5 stars easily.

LOVE THIS STORE. I purchase very little in terms of clothing but am often in there for the shoes, jewelry and other accessories. I am NEVER disappointed when stopping by. The staff is friendly and the store has an awesome boutique vibe.

This store is great for selling clothes and they buy almost anything from you. The people that work there are really friendly and will help you if you need it. They give you more money for your clothes than the other stores.

Ok so I understand that Uptown is a business trying to make a profit, but as a business maybe you should inform your customers that come in to sell their clothes what are the specific items they are looking for. Instead of a customer, such as myself, waiting for a response like we can only take 5 items out of the 3 FULL bags you brought in. I would appreciate an employee to tell me ahead of time that they are overloaded with inventory and they are forced to be very picky in buying back items. So in summary if your staff already knows what to buy back then why not inform your customer across the counter what are the SPECIFIC items they are looking for. Because I’m sorry it’s the end of summer and it being Texas you kinda have to hold on to dresses, rompers, shorts a little longer because it’s October and still 90 so wouldn’t it be I don’t know realistic to see girls come in to sell their summer clothes in order to buy fall clothes. The same thing happens at the end of winter. We sell our winter clothes to buy spring clothes. As far so too much inventory that needs to addressed. A customer knowing that information can only help to think why isn’t anyone spending their money here? Because the store really does look great clean… so what’s going on?

This is my happy place. It’s dangerously close to my office so I’m in here WAY more than I need to be but the deals are amazing and the selection is very broad. The staff is friendly and remembers my name (always a plus). From work clothes to going out, they have it all. Sign up for their text club and save even MORE! Highly recommend.

I’ve been here a few times and I love this place! First time I came here and tried to sell my clothes because my friend told me that they do buy your clothes back, just like plato’s closet. The staffs were very nice and friendly. They told me if I wanted cash back or store credit to buy clothes in a store. It took them only 15 minutes to check up my clothes. I personally feel like you can get more money than plato’s closet.
They also have a lot of men and women fashion styles here. There is not only clothes, but also shoes and bags. The price is on budget. Can’t wait to go back and find some cute dresses here :)

This place is the best place to buy and sell close. It’s much better than plato’s closet. When you sell your clothes you get more money than plato’s closet. I like how it’s not teenagers that work here because if they had teenagers working here this place operate like plato’s closet. the staff members are friendly and will do anything to make you happy. They are also knowledgeable and know fashion.

I came in to this store with my wife and didn’t believe her when she told me that it was a resale store. Really great vibe, helpful employees, and I ended up finding some great (J.Crew and Gap) clothes for myself while my wife was shopping.

I found some super cute dresses here both times I’ve visited! They have a great variety of styles, and the workers are really friendly. I wish I could shop at Anthropologie or Jcrew for everything, but I don’t really have that type of budget, so it’s great to find a store that I can find those types of items.
