Since it is a ‘Seafood’ place. The crab legs were not FRESH and the shrimps were very small. A bit disappointing for a seafood place. Service is decent. Has a play ground for kids.

Joe’s Crab Shack offers a reasonable happy hour with $ 5 appetizers and drink specials. The great balls of fire are quite tasty and I’m sure 1000 calories. We went in for dinner on Halloween and the service was not great. They were not at all busy and the staff was in major chill mode. Hubby had a taste for crab and there was a $ 10 off coupon on the bucket. Coupons and happy hour specials make it worth an occasional visit.

Happy hour is legit!!! there’s not much around Lewisville and not many people know about their happy hour. $ 2 hurricane, bud, and another beer. $ 2 few appetizers selections like calamari, crab tater(fries with crab meat on top), popcorn shrimp, and fried pickles. All bite size but worth $ 2 and drinks. I also like their joes crab shack seafood buckets but it was way too much to eat.

We arrived 45 minutes to close with no idea what we wanted servers nightmare! However, everyone was super friendly and encouraged that we take our time and enjoy our meals. They receive an A++ from me! My food was exceptional! Red fish and lobster yummy! I will return soon I get a free appetizer next time for signing up online!

We have visited this location many times over the past 4 years and enjoyed the food every trip. The servers have been really great each trip. They have been friendly, knowledgeable, and follow up just the right amount. We had steam pots with the potatoes, sausage, corn, and crab legs. I ordered an extra pound of king crab legs with mine. We also had claim strips for appetizer an they are always large claims with a good amount of breading but not to much. The crabs came out cooked perfectly and very tasty! The sides were very good as well. Last but not least the dessert :)…We have gotten the Crabby Apple Crumble and it is very good! Had this many times and its a great dish and big enough to share with someone else. I recommend this location and they do a good job for us.

Went to Joe’s years ago and didn’t care for it, however we went on a whim and had a great meal. We had the paella… holy cow! This is one of the best tasting meals I have had at any chain restaurant. We loved it so much we went back the next week and had it and a crab pot to split. I am not sure about the rest of the menu, but DEFINITELY get the paella, it is amazing.

First time stopping by Joe’s on Tuesday since I know they have Twosday $ 2 specials, $ 2 for Hurricanes and drafts, $ 2 for some appetizers We walked in around dinner time and it was pretty empty. Joe’s Crab Shack can be hit or miss. Great atmosphere. They have a lot of options of food and drinks. I really like their drinks. I had hurricanes and it was good with strong alcohol. The food was great. We had voodoo chicken pops to start out with. They tasted good. Then we shared stuffed shrimps with hushpuppies, steamed broccoli, and dirty rice. They were good too. It is a little pricey for what you get though. Service is great. Our server was pretty nice and helpful. I will definitely be back again.

Customer service is terrible. I’m thinking they’re racist here too. They sat a white couple that came in after our party at a table meant for 5 – 6. Our group had 6 and when I asked why the couple got seated before us at the big table, the hostess said we would have been squished at that table. She didn’t even bother to ask us. We waited over 45 minutes and still hadn’t been seated when they said 30 minute wait. When I posted to their Facebook page another customer said that they did the same thing to her. That she and a friend were made to wait while white customers were immediately seated.

Stopped by in the way home. We don’t have a Joe’s in Abilene so it’s always a treat. Meal was very good as was the service. Only complaint is that it’s a little high priced but overall a very pleasant experience and definitely worth having to go out of our way several miles to find it.

Terrible customer service we waited over 20 minutes for waiter to take just our drink order. To many options for seafood in the area to tolerate such bad service. We won’t return so we left and went to Aw Shucks had a better experience.

Food here is good! I love it. We have never waited for tables here before. Today it was so crowded. We waited for about 15 min.

It’s great to go there and eat outside with the kids because of the playground but the food is not so great. I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp. It came with veggies and dirty rice and the rice was awful! It tasted like dirt. The shrimp was ok but I wouldn’t order it again. The service was great though!

We’ve been to Joe’s 6 times now in the last year, every time the service is outstanding and the food never disappoints. My son(6) asks to go here for special dinners because he knows they have a great playground, so it’s like the benefit of having a McDonalds playland(but clean!) and getting great seafood instead of fast food. Of the six dinners I’ve had there, 4 have been the various crab pots(usually split with someone else), and we love trying new flavors. Sunday I tried the Shore Grill, which featured the mahi mahi and bacon wrapped shrimp. The mahi mahi was some of the best tasting I’ve had in years, and overall the meal was very satisfying. The other diners at the table loved their food as well, including fried clams, lobster, and Pan Roasted Seafood special, which I got the sample. The bar is well stocked, and any drinkers at the table will be satisfied with the selection, but don’t expect the bartender to know how to make your drink if it’s anything that isn’t on their menu. I’m really surprised to see the bad reviews posted recently, I’ve had nothing but good/great experiences here, and take friends to this specific location for special occasions, because I know everyone loves it and the food and service are great.

We have always gotten good service and good food at this location. We have visited probably 6 times in 4 years. The mixed drinks are always good, they always have something new and interesting to try. Better than other chain sea food places IMO.

Went here for a late night date. Food was fresh and fast, we split the sampler appetizer, the crab boil? And the chocolate salted caramel cake. Portions were generous, the appetizer and boil were awesome. Everything was perfect temp. The dessert was rather meh… It would have been very disappointing save for the salted caramel. We got a hurricane mixed drink and was pretty good. We ended up being 2 of like 5 people there and our waitress was friendly and attentive without smothering us. Overall it is a chain restaurant and you should go with that in mind. But they are open late and have a play area for kids if you come during the day

We came to Joe’s Crab Shack because we were meeting a friend there that had kids. So, the playground there is a great place to meet friends with children. We met in the afternoon so we already had lunch so we ordered a light snack of Peel and Eat Shrimp. It had a wonderful creole seasoning on it. It was not spicy at all, but just added flavor to the shrimp. The service was prompt and curteous.

It’s been a long time since we tried a Joe’s Crab Shack. like 10 plus years. We decided to give this one a go since we were both craving some crab legs and didn’t want to take a long trip. I’ve got to say. Joe has done some work on the their menu and pricing! Great job! Nothing fancy in their steampots menu just simple items, spices and prices. Those three make for a great combination! We’ve ordered the Classic Steampot for two each time we’ve gone. SWMBO gets the crab and I take the rest. It’s more then enough for the two of us. Especially with the Garlicky Mussels before hand. Service is ok. about as you would expect from a chain restaurant. Their patio fills up fast on nice days and is comfortable. Drinks are on par with other chains. Nothing here stands out.

It had been years since I visited Joe’s Crab Shack. I remember being underwhelmed with their food. Recently, my best-friend decided to take me to the Lewisville location. I was so surprised at how much they have turned things around! Their menu is more attractive and the food is actually REALLY good. I got one of the boiled pots that contained two types of crab legs, corn on the cob, sausage and shrimp… all boiled in the same bag and placed in a pot. They season it however you want them to. It was amazingly delicious. Can’t wait to go back!
