Even though this place took longer than expected, the staff were incredibly friendly and their prices were definitely fair. The best thing about here is that they won’t harass or nickel and dime you to get expensive synthetic oil or upgrades. I had an oil change, tire rotation, and had to plug my tire due to a nail being in it, and it cost me $ 55. $ 30 for oil, $ 15 for tires, and $ 10 for the plug, much better than other places I’ve gone. They’re honest, kind, and get the job done. I highly recommend this establishment.

Used them to get my state inspection. Got the job done, but took a while because the guy at the counter was the one doing it so he kept stopping to check people in and out. Not the friendliest place but not rude either. No reason to not come here again.

Here’s the deal about Hamm’s…they are a high volume shop. They have excellent prices but the service is, I mean, about what you pay for.
The thing that I like about Hamm’s and the reason I bring my car here all the time (I have a Ford with over 200,000 miles on it so I’m kind of a regular) is because they NEVER have once tried to sell me something that I didn’t ask for. That’s rare in a mechanic shop.

Went here first on my run to find a set of four tires. The guy who answered the phone was nice enough, and led me to believe they had a «Set» of 4 tires for my F-​150.
Got there, waited an hour and they put my truck on the lift, and they’ve been really busy, so I finally am able to go back and look at the tires they’re going to use and they are 4 different brands, 4 different treads, with varying levels of wear that would not pass inspection.
I was pretty aggravated and had them take the truck off of the lift and I left. Went to Mike’s — (

Wouldn’t recommend. Was a waste of time and if I hadn’t checked, I would have left with worse tires than I came with.

Wonderful place and really good service. Got 2 of my tires replaced for just 60 bucks. Eventhough there is no guarantee with used tires, they replaced mine for free when i had some problem next day. Really happy with the service!

I honestly don’t think this place deserves that bad of reviews. The prices here are great for people looking to get the job done without getting into other messes and wasting a money. I have been here twice and what I have noticed was that they would check your car but go tell you when you did not need to repair something. Other places, specially the dealership, loves to bring up all these little things here and there that ends up costing $ 1500 when you only came for an alignment. This place is honestly great for providing the service without robbing you blind, like me who has the slightest clue when dealing with cars.

I have never had a bad experience here. I’ve had my tired replaced, belts replaced, oil done, etc. I’ve always been treated with respect and I’ve even been told I /didn’t/ need to do certain things that I would have ignorantly paid for otherwise. My grandfather says there are no repair places in Miami (where he’s from) that compare with Hamm’s. I’m sorry to hear others had negative experiences.

I had to get my tires here because my mechanic recommended Toyo tires and not many shops carry them. Hamm’s offers a free alignment with four tires. Staff was friendly and everything went smoothly until I got back on the 121 to go to Plano. Once I reached 70 mph, my steering wheel started shaking and I noticed that the car pulled to the right. Once I got home, I asked a friend to check it out. He noticed that the tire pressures were way under or over the recommended pressures depending on the tire and not the same between all four tires (and missing valve caps). Steering problems were probably due to incorrect balancing of the tires and misalignment. Really !!! I’d think Hamm’s would get all this correctly since that is what they do all day.
I took it back to the shop and told them about the problems. They rebalanced the tires and I guess the alignment because everything seems fine now. But, I am annoyed they did not do it in the first place and I had to go back and sit around for another 2 hours to fix a problem that should have never occurred in the first place. Meh.
