C & W Plumbing

I cannot give any stars for work performed because I never had them come out. I called Thursday afternoon about 4:00 and told them I needed a thermocouple replaced on my hot water heater. They did not have that particular part and would need to go to the supply store and pick it up and then they could run it over and get me taken care of. They are located in Lewisville and I’m right down the road in Corinth, not too far. Well, quote time. They told me it would be $ 220 for installation, another $ 150 for the emergency call, and then of course the part which is about $ 20. Almost $ 400 to replace a thermocouple on a 2011 Bradford White hot water heater. Over double the price of what I ended up getting. OUCH!
By the way, the one star was for their courtesy, they were indeed very pleasant and easy to speak with.

C & W Plumbing would not give us an estimate over the phone, Had to come to our home, all we need was to replace a part on the Hot Water Heater that was sent to us my Honeywell. Told us our Hot Water Heater was not up to code and we needed a whole new Water Heater. What a joke, a $ 150.00 job was now quoted as $ 2594.64 what a scam these guys are running on poor elderly people.

I go out of town and sure enough the water heater starts leaking. My wife calls a couple people and they recommend C&W. To be fair they did a good job. I would expect nothing less given replacing a water heater is plumbing 101. What got me was the cost. Almost $ 1700 for just a basic 40gal gas water heater replacement. Nothing special, easy access in the garage, no power venting, just a 40 gal water heater I could go buy from Home Depot for about $ 350 and their wholesale cost for all of the parts should easily be well under $ 500. When I asked how much just the water heater was they wouldn’t tell me as it was a «bundled» price. Oh, but the tech said they only use quality parts, no «Sharkbite» fittings. Really?!? If you are a licensed plumber and are using fittings aimed at the DIY market you shouldn’t be a plumber. So basically $ 400 an hour for labor. Unbelievable. They should be ashamed.

Had someone come out to give some estimates and fix a couple exterior faucets, he didn’t have the right size faucet and said he would order one and come back early the following week. well never heard from him again or got the new faucets. Guess they didn’t need our business. We contacted AM Plumbing who came out same day and fixed our issues right away, were much more personable, professional and better priced. AM plumbing will be our go to any day over C&W.

Today is ²⁄₂ and C & W office called and wanted to make sure if the tech return my call. What a joke it had been more then a month. STAY away from this business. Don’t fall for the line ‘how can I make u smile.’ Look around and you will find a few customers with the same complains.

Neil was just here for about 3 hours and solved what could have been a major and expensive repair by pulling out a large rootball from my 80% blocked main sewer line using his «1 last trick» method. The best thing is that have no more guessing and worrying about who to call next time I have a plumbing problem– these guys are Great!!!

Terrible. I asked them how much it would be to install a dishwasher over the phone and the lady gave me a run around «we don’t know until we see it» Then the guy that comes out says that it will be $ 368. He pulled out a book with tons of pricing, so there is no way that the lady didn’t know. They still got their $ 49 service fee. I should have known. Do not let them come to your house without knowing the price beforehand. I got someone else to install my dishwasher for $ 100 and I was very pleased.

I would give them Zero stars, but that wasn’t an option. Worst company I have ever dealt with… EVER. At the end of my 2 hour window I hadn’t heard from anyone, so I called to check and found out they were running 2 hours behind but didn’t bother to inform me. I set up another window later that day, and the same thing happened! When I called to complain and just cancel the service the supervisor hung up on me. When I called back, I was told the supervisor’s name was Leslie and to call the manager (who was out) the next day to place a complaint. I did that and he told me no one by that name worked there. Convenient. I was also told they couldn’t even find me in the system, and I must be mistaken, and then the manager hung up on me. I have their company programmed into my phone, and can track all calls back to the original call that I made to set up the appointment. Beware!

I have used C&W several times and will never use another company. They are always professional and get the job done. I never feel like I’m getting ripped off either. Highly recommend them!

Like others I was happy with the Saturday service and Neal was able to get my clogged drain opened. I gave only 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 because Neal said he didn’t have the right license approval from the state to qualify him to re-​assemble the p-​trap, drain pipes, etc… Seems very odd to me to send someone out not qualified to fully complete the job.

I have used C&W multiple times. They do provide a very good service. They are very pleasant on the phone, and the ladies that answer always remember me by name, and are friendly and ready to help me with whatever weird request I have (I have needed extra invoices, or copies for lawyers or the city, etc). I know plumbing is an expensive service, but the one thing I wasn’t happy with, was on the last service I needed, a brick needed to be removed to fix an outside pipe. They charged me almost the same amount of money to pull 1 brick out of the wall, as they did to cut a copper pipe, and re-​attach a new pipe with a fixture on it! I thought that was outrageous! Had it been 10 bricks, okay. But 1 brick? It doubled the cost! I wasn’t happy with that. And they didn’t even put the brick back in the wall either! Other than that, they are a fantastic plumber service. I have never had a problem with anything they have repaired, or had to call them a 2^nd time on a job. I do recommend them. Just pull your own bricks if you can! Thanks C&W! I will call you next time I need a plumber! :)

They answered the phone «How can I put a smile on your face?» That instantly reassured me that they were in business to solve my problem: a ruptured water heater. I needed a replacement today, not tomorrow, and C&W dispatched a master plumber who arrived by noon. I got the 12-​year Rheem replacement unit with a year warranty on the labor. Robert had the unit in his truck. He was done in about five hours. The job was seamless. He was efficient, clean, professional, and quiet. The most noise I heard was the occassional burp of his blow torch firing up. I wrote a check, shook his hand, and off he went with the discarded water heater that was 38 years old. The new unit is operating like a charm and the total cost was about what I expected for a top-​line replacement. C&W turned what could have been a day of disaster into a happy upgrade. Now that’s service!

I woke up Christmas Morning to no hot water, so I just figured the hot water heater had gone out. The next day I replaced the hot water heater to find out still not hot water. But the hot water heater was old and needed to be replaced anyway, after a further diagnosis it was determined I had a slab leak.
I called C&W and Jeremy came out and diagnosed the problem and confirmed the hot water heater was fine but water was going somewhere. Jeremy did a leak detection to see if they could pin point the leak under the slab and he found it under the water heater. Jeremy is first class and he explained every step of the process. i will definately used C&W again and I have suggested if jeremy is available I would like to work with him.

I came home tonight to a flooded garage due to a leaking hot water heater. The customer service on the after hours line was excellent, and Samuel went out of his way to help me out. I truly appreciated the fact that they were so quick to respond, and are going to be able to come out at 8am tomorrow to get the hot water heater replaced.

We had a line to our hot water heater begin leaking into our garage and our office wall on a Saturday. The valve was broken and the leak couldn’t be stopped at the water heater. I called three plumbers to get on their list for someone to come out that day. C&W rearranged their schedule to get someone out there quickly and quoted me the after hours fee which I agreed to although I thought it a little high. I was worried that the water going into the wall would ruin our carpet and sheetrock. The plumber who arrived fixed the problem quickly and was very friendly. He answered all of our questions about how our two heaters were plumbed and how to mitigate this problem in the future. My main complaint was the price charged for the parts and installation. It seemed VERY high considering he only replaced about three or four feet of copper line and a valve. I felt I had no choice but to OK it considering I had already agreed to the after hours fee and we definitely needed the leak fixed. I like everything about this company except their price.

These guys have excellent customer service via the phone. When the plumber arrived he was able to repair the water leak to our main water line in less than an hour. They charge one price for the job rather than the old hourly charge plus parts. Their prices were a little higher than our other estimate, but the service was good.
They called back the next day to see if we were happy and they sent out another technician to make sure that everything was put back in place to our satisfaction. This was going the extra mile in my opinion.

Had a leaky toilet that I was not able to shut the water valve off on. Had to call the 24-​hr service on a Friday at 10:30 pm. C&W was fast at calling me back and getting someone out to the house. They did a good job giving me options and explaining to me some preventive things to do in the future. The work was done quickly and effectively. Their prices for after hours were high, but that is to be expected.
