History

Established in 2001.

Owner Tanza Thompson co-​founded Shear Design hair studio in Belleville before establishing a salon of her own in Lewistown. In 2005, the salon relocated to Harvard St. and became known as Ciao Bella. 2011 brought a final change of location to Wayne St., just a short walk from the Bön-​Ton and Miller Cinema in downtown Lewistown.

Tanza has been cutting hair since graduating from Lewistown Area High School, and has raised four children as much in the salon as out of it. She is looking to turn over control of the business to her youngest son, Hunter, who will finish barber’s school in the summer.
