Trillium Performing Arts Collective’s mission is to encourage artistic expression and creative opportunities through education, participation and performance. As the company in residence at the historic Lewis Theatre, Trillium offers about 20 classes each week including dance, yoga, creative movement, poi, staff and music. We produce live performance almost every month. Trillium is an integral part of the community of Lewisburg and the Greenbrier Valley, devoted to nuturing positive involvement. Note: small staff is unable to guarantee office will be open at all posted hours.

History

Established in 1982.

Trillium produces and hosts talented local performers and brings outstanding guests artists to the Greenbrier Valley to perform in professional concerts of dance and movement theatre. The near monthly Friday Night Alive! series also includes music, readings, puppetry, magic, theatre, original cinema, and comedy. The Dance Studio, founded as a partnership, evolved to become the Trillium School for Performing Arts, which now offers about twenty classes each week, as well as a summer camp. Scholarships help keep these program financially accessible. Trillium has been designated a 501©(3) charitable organization by the IRS.

Meet the Manager

Larry L.

Manager

Currently Larry is the business coordinator, which in Trillium’s small part time staff means he does about half of everything. His past activities include co-​founding and managing several food cooperatives, two intentional living communities, a restaurant, stained glass and wood craft businesses, farming and construction. He has also studied and performed with Trillium.
