Vision World of Levittown

I would have given them more stars because i was a bit of a pain in the butt and they were very accommodating to me. But stay away from the lady with the lady with the blue streak. So rude and unprofessional over the phone and in the store. Ann and the doctor are great though.

I had to call my plan to reaffirm because the woman who called me from here totally exaggerated the problem. And at one point referred to the situation like some cost-​problem, they have to cover themselves, etc etc. I was like, what? I’ve NEVER heard that before. She seemed nice initially, Debra or something, but seriously, cover yourselves? You already know what my plan will do, I pay the rest, what are you talking about? Anyway, whatever. I recommend going to a more customer-​friendly place, honestly. After you place your order, it could waste some of your valuable mental focus for the day (s) until you get ‘your product.’

All four members of my family have been using Vision World in Levittown for ten years. No more. While the reviews of the doctor seem accurate and fair, the others are to be avoided at all costs.
I literally had to argue to get the benefits that my plan paid them! What was their answer? «Well, we don’t have that information and we are glad that you told us.» Please…
Debbie provided an astonishing array of lies and misinformation including:
«Your plan pays $ 44 for contacts.» No, my plan pays $ 100.
«The plan benefit is based upon a year’s lens purchase.» No, it is based upon a three month purchase.
«You must pay the $ 60 contact lens fitting fee each time you are examined.» No, a $ 50 fitting fee is paid the first time and only the first time a customer is fitted in the store.
These lies and (Likely successful with most customers) attempts to increase their bottom line have been brought to the attention of my plan provider. I have requested a review of all benefits paid to this store for my family, and am expecting a refund of improperly charged fitting fees, and all the extra payments I made due to the under crediting of plan payments I was entitled, and which were most likely received by the store.
Hmm, let my try to think of a single word to describe this location… oh, I know… DISHONEST!
I will be sharing this news with all members of my plan and union. A participating optician should not be allowed to contine such unprofessional and fraudulent practice.
UPDATE,
Ann at Vision World has now refused service to me, I suppose the result of expecting to receive my full due benefit. «If they can’t dishonestly maximize profit per service provided, they would rather not provide service.» They are stating that my daughter’s Fitting Fee was «Non-​Covered «and want to charge for that. Funny thing is the paper they provided as proof shows that they did indeed engage in deceptive practices as my plan covers «$ 100 for a three month supply of lenses,» not $ 44 for a year as they insisted and the best part is they were charging $ 60 for the Fitting Fee that the paper they gave me identifies as a $ 50 out of pocket charge if not covered.
Ann told me they love Unilocal reviews.
Just making up numbers. AVOID, and hope they soon will go by the wayside.
Doubt Ann and Debbie care since they will be laughing into retirement paid for at the expense of hard working families on Long Island. VERY SELFISH PEOPLE.

Ok, the people behind the desk are so rude! I think only Dr. Bowman was worth it, but I don’t want to give this place my business because of their attitude.
I hadn’t reviewed anything on Unilocal for a while but noticed my older review… honestly, while the response was well written and articulate, that doesn’t remove my experience which was sincerely written about. It’s rude for the office to claim I need to waste more energy on them, they even needed to resort to having Unilocal edit my extremely distasteful trip to them.
You provide services, but making my freedom of speech get retracted because you feel insulted is just presumption and wrong. I* certainly felt insulted enough to write about it here, I had enough tact to not make confrontational. As with other incidents in life, people suck it up, and move on. Posting on Unilocal generally isn’t does as a means to SATISFY the business, you just write about your experience. I hated that it happened to, but people know something well enough, personal encounters can’t be guaranteed all the time just because you employed those people. Honestly, it wasn’t even the only other individual that made things a bad experience for me at this store… but that was due to more customer service issue, anyhow, this was all most unfortunate for ME, the customer. I can’t help your office gave me such hassle, I just get the option to not return at this point.

The worst customer service I have ever seen. The receptionists are rude and argumentative. Limited selection in-​store and the quality of the frames is lacking. They would rather you walk around unable to see then admit they have made an error and correct it. You only get one pair of eyes– do not trust them to these guys.
