I’ve been coming here for sometime… My girl friend introduced it to me… Sometimes when I want some Colombian food I come here. It’s not mom or dads cooking but it’s decent!!! The empanadas have been smaller but they are much crunchier and filled with fresh meat… They are deff much fresher… I will continue to come for the empanadas. Hope they continue to make them fresh … I love that you can sit eat and leave without smelling like food !!! Kudos to their ventilation system!

I was really disappointed. I ordered to go and was told the Arroz con Pollo came with beans and plantains. I got the plantains, but no beans. Also, the sausage in the rice looks and tastes like cheap hotdog, not the flavorful style sausage i was expecting. The flavor of the dish was still decent but i was turned off by now. I also ordered the chorizo con arepa. The arepa was rock solid and cold and smelled like plastic. I had fried sweet plantains which were delicious but overall I was disappointed and will not be back.

on a chilly saturday night we wanted to try a nice place with good homestyle cooking ! i should’ve made it myself ! although this place looks nice when you walk in and they have plenty of tv with their national pastime playing on them, music playing as well nice atmosphere but when it came to food thats where it all falls apart ! our apps empanadas, were tiny and a bit dry(this word will be used often), i ordered a large arepa with cheese, i love these and have tasted a few from many different countries including columbia, well this one came out a dry disk with burnt in cheese on top not really all that great either, but our main dish A COLUMBIANSTLYEBBQ should make up for the others? nope, this plate comes with 5 different meats, sirloin(ordered med, came out well and dry) pork loin(paper thin slice of meat dry as well) the chicken breast(pounded thinly and just like the others dry out) blood sausage(didn’t taste like blood sausage but there again recipes do differ from region to region) chorizo(ehh cooked again a bit dry) the shrimp(3 shrimp the only thing on the plate that tasted as if it was freshly cooked) thank god there was a spicy dipping sauce in the table that was tasty and we used it to add flavor and moisture to the meats ! normally i would return the dish and exit but it was late 9:45 and we were hungry so we managed to chew some cowhide and wash down some of it ! by far one of the worst columbian restaurant we have been to

We’ve been coming here for quite some time and being Colombian ourselves feel we have a good idea of what typical Colombian food should taste like. At first the portions and prices were fantastic. The service was questionable but friendly none the less. Lately the plates and portions are inconsistent. The prices have gone up and the quality and portions have gone down. I understand inflation but you can’t lessen the quality. Tonight we ordered 4 skirt steaks and each one was different in amount and incorrectly prepared. One was thick and cooked perfectly others paper thin and overcooked, one was half the size of the other but all 26 dollars. The chicken has an unnatural flavor and color. The white rice has become so over powered by Garlic that it’s actually inedible. We tried to voice our feelings tonight which we rarely do but we have become friendly with our server. The owner didn’t even bother to come over, she started looking at us dirty and sent over her daughter not so much as to apologize as to make excuses about their butcher and delivery. The owner didn’t even come over herself, and she was right in front of us.

Love this place! Everything was absolutely delicious. Only reason I would give 4 stars is because the waitress seemed to disappear for long periods of time, and frequently. But other than that I would absolutely recommend it! Will be back again soon.

The food is very good and the dessert is really good but the restaurant is cold. My opinion of the restaurant is 5 stars. It is the best Spanish restaurant I been to. You should go there!!!

Let me start of by making a short PSA to everyone who keeps misspelling Colombia. There is NO ‘u’ anywhere in the spelling of the country/or adjective, «Colombian». Now, as for this restaurant. I can honestly say I have never experienced such terrible service. My mom and I came in on a Saturday for lunch. It was full, so we had to wait on line for a table. After around 30 minutes of waiting, we were told that we could sit at the bar and continue waiting for just a couple more minutes. Ten minutes later a waitress finally takes us to a table, takes our order and brings us drinks. She returns after another 10 minutes to tell us we need to get up from the table, because they need our table for a larger party. Since there were no other available tables we were re-seated at the bar. I have no problem sitting at the bar. I do have a problem with the way were moved around the restaurant, as if we’re not paying customers. The woman behind the bar turned out to be the owner’s wife. She apologized and gave us free dessert, but some dry dessert wasn’t enough to take away the unprofessionalism of their staff. As for our food, it was subpar at best. The meat was thin, bland and dry. If you want good Colombian food and service, try Pollos El Paisa but don’t waste your time here.

Let me start off by saying the food was very good. The service, however was lacking at best. The waiter was slow to take a drink order, then it took more than 10 minutes to get the beverages. He never came back to see if we wanted anything else to drink. The wait time for the entrees was very long also. If you are very patient, and don’t mind dinner taking a couple of hours(impossible with my 3 kids…) than go and enjoy the food. We all enjoyed our meal once they arrived!

Came here on a Monday. I am ColOmbian and I know what good Colombian food is. This used to be my favorite spot but something has changed. The empanada was good but was tiny compared to most places. I ordered a typical platter, if you are at a Colombian restaurant they should not get this wrong. The steak was paper thin and half the portion it used to be. My sons French fries had something in them like string and instead of taking them off the bill, they gave me another order of fries! When I checked the bill, to my surprise I was charged a dollar more for substituting sweet plantains with salty plantains!!! When I asked why the waitress said that’s what the computer charges for substitutions! Why??? It has gone downhill and I will not come here again. So disappointed. :(

Oh wow. First time trying Columbian food and I am hooked. Place is in a cosy little corner and hard to spot but it is great. The music, the décor, the service and the food are all great. So many similarities to Salvadoran food which makes it easy for me. If you’re in town or a local come to this place and you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended.

Went here on a week night. Food and service was kinda Blahhhhh. The waiter acted like he was insulted that we didn’t like plantains, and we weren’t eating them. I’m giving this place 2 stars. Although the food wasn’t bad, it wasn’t good. You can get better Columbian food from a bodega or home cooked.

Very disappointed with today’s experience. Our server took his time greeting us initially. After he took our drink order, he never returned to take our food order until we called him over. Our salads never came to the table, so we had to ask for that as well and our beer was poured directly into the glass instead of tilted on the side. There was also a discrepancy in the pricing and when I questioned the waiter, he responded, «Look, I’m only a waiter.» The manager couldn’t honor the advertised price(in the menu) bc they made a mistake. I’m very confused as to what happened to the quality this restaurant used to give.

One of the very best Colombian /Latin American food places in Long Island. Great service and fast delivery on the food. Friendly staff. On certain nights they have small party ambience and a full bar. I like the grilled chicken with white rice and beans. And fried plantains.

Very similar to Mi Tierrita in Hempstead. The portions are very large. The prices for fish are a bit pricey, ranging from $ 20 – 24 however you can get the similar dish in a different protein source(such as chicken) for nearly half the price. Jugo de Pina was good with milk and not overly sweetened. I would recommend the drink. The beans and rice and not overly salted and yet have a good amount of flavor in them. Staff are very well coordinated and very nice. The bathrooms are very clean and have separate bathrooms for men and women. When coming in, just ask a staff member that you and your party would like a seat. I was unsure at first if we needed to seat ourselves. Bottom line: Nice Colombian restaurant with a good amount of food. The environment was calm with welcoming staff. A must try for Spanish Food Conquerors.

This place has a great atmosphere but not the best columbian restaurant around. Everything is over priced. They are probably the most expensive restaurant around. The service is slow but not the worst. I do enjoy the chicken and rice. it even has small slices of sausage in it. Not the worst and they do serve descent food.

When entering a Columbian Restaurant, one expects to fill their nostrils with the wonderful smell of Rotisserie Chicken and other wonderful ethnic aromas. Not the case here… not that any place should smell but its not inviting to sit in a rather uninspired dining room with no clue as to what they are serving until its set in front of you. We have been here several times and found the food to be OK, but when compared to Pollos El Pais in Westbury, it doesnt hold a candle for food or ambiance. The Chicharron was anemic but the Empaneda was delicious. I did see some sort of fried fish pass by that looked enticing! maybe next time. Again given the choice, this would be a good place to bring kids, but for adult eating and partying… the obvious choice would not be SAC.

I’ve been here 3 or 4 times with a friend of mine who has small children. We’ve always had a good experience, and they’re a family-friendly environment while still being enjoyable for an adult who doesn’t have kids. I pretty much always get the shrimp and rice, and fried plantains(split with my friend). It’s more than the two of us can ever finish– they put a ton of seafood in the rice. All of it is delicious.

What food doesn’t taste good smothered in rich creamy sauces? Don’t come here if you are dieting. I had the lemon chicken which was very good but I didn’t realize it would have been in a thick creamy buttery lemon sauce. My girlfriend had the mushroom chicken which came in a rich creamy white sauce kind of like alfredo sauce. Both of our husbands had the meat platter. Everything was super tasty but definitely not a place I would frequent unless I was trying to gain weight.
