I’ve been using John’s since when they were a little Corvette shop in Bristol Township off 413(early 1970s). Most recently, my son’s 1998 Saturn needed front end body repair from an accident. Another shop might have priced the repair beyond the car’s value, but Mr. Beck charged an honest fee and did a terrific job repairing it. He delivered the car detailed and looking fantastic. The Saturn is a great city car for my son, and John’s Auto Body helped save the car. We’ve also used their mechanical shop and they share the same no-nonsense, fair pricing philosophy for routine repair work.

These people are nothing but crooks! I had walked in here because they towed my car for no apparent reason and they expect me to pay $ 200+. They claim that they have to pay their tow truck drivers to go pick up a car that is 2 minutes up the road! I then see my car in the back with a bunch of other smashed cars.(John, Anthony) said that in order to have my car that I would have to pay that much money. Therefore obviously I disagree and try to get them to release my car to me. Anyway, to make a long story short after cops have to come I had to pay $ 175 for them to get my car to the towing place 2 minutes up the road and a $ 75(no key) entry fee. That was an easy $ 175 bucks for them in less than 5 minutes!

I just used the auto body shop for third time in fifteen years and the service has always been excellent and the pricing fair.

I wanted to share my experience. John’s has been very good to my Mother and brother, who have been coming there for years, so it seemed logical to take my car here when the engine light came on and I needed an inspection. The dealer said the engine light was due to catalytic converter. Here’s what John’s found and what I paid for: CATALYTICCONVERTER — Remove & Replace — Three Way Catalytic Converter RADIATOR — Remove & Replace ALTERNATORDRIVEBELT — Remove & Replace VALVECOVERGASKET — Remove & Replace Replace front disc pads and machine rotors All this happened within a year after the repairs were made: * The engine light came on again and they replaced the CATALYTICCONVERTER no charge * After 2nd replacement, CATALYTICCONVERTER would vibrate noticeably at 2400 RPMs — nothing they can do * During a tire rotation, Midas noticed a bad RADIATOR fluid leak. The bolt had not been tightened correctly and had come off. Repaired, no charge * Noticed BELTNOISE on a few occasions — they said it was due to cold weather. Eventually this stopped. While they were in possession of my car, they left it out during hurricane Irene. The car flooded and it cost me over $ 200 to get it dried and cleaned. The manager I spoke with refused to take responsibility. I escalated this to the owner’s son and he offered $ 200 in credit for future repairs. After another visit to correct the issues listed above, somehow my center console got locked — where the gas cap release is located — and the lock broke. I found this out two days later while attempting to refuel. The manager I spoke with accused me of locking it. I have never used the lock on this console in the 13 years that I’ve owned the car. This is the same manager I spoke with regarding the hurricane ordeal. In the end, they didn’t charge me to open the console and repair the lock. UPDATE(1 year, 2 months)… I brought my car in to another mechanic for inspection and now I’m told oil is leaking all over my spark plugs, and that I need the VALVECOVERGASKET replaced. This mechanic also noticed the RADIATOR was missing a bolt(this was replaced). UPDATE(2 years, 7 months)… The RADIATOR began leaking fluid and the reservoir emptied within an hour. My new mechanic had to replace the RADIATOR due to an internal leak. I asked why this happened — «poor quality parts» was the answer.
