Welcome to Orthodontic Associates of Long Island. We are committed to superior, health-​oriented orthodontics for children and adults. Dr. David Ostreicher aims to eliminate crooked teeth and periodontal disease by providing world-​class care at our Levittown, NY practice. Our Doctor

After graduating from Columbia University of Dental Medicine in the honors program, Dr. David Ostreicher obtained his Certificate in Orthodontics from Columbia University School of Dental Medicine. He went on to obtain his Masters in Public Health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. Dr. Ostreicher is professor emeritus of Public Health at University of Bridgeport and past president of New York State Dental Association. Dr. Ostreicher takes about three times the required minimum hours of continuing education credits in New York State every year. He is an active member of numerous dental associations and has authored several journal articles and books.

Established in 1978.

After graduating from Columbia University School of Dental Medicine Orthodontic Program (Honors), Dr. David Ostreicher opened his Specialty Orthodontic Office. As our logo implies, we strive to be A Health Oriented Orthodontic Office.

Business Owner

Dr. David Ostreicher is a firm believer in oral health. He is professor emeritus of Preventive Dentistry at Columbia University and Public Health at the University of New Haven. He is now a Lecturer and Staff Member of Align Technology (the manufacturers of Invisalign) where he teaches dentists and orthodontists how to use the Invisalign orthodontic appliance.

Dr. David, as his patients call him, has written dozens of journal articles and two books: «Brush Your Teeth! and other simple ways to stay young and healthy» and «7 Reasons To Straighten Your Teeth»

I was very satisfied when i walked in with my 7 year old daughter for a consultation. My daughter needs braces but i wanted to know when she should get them and if they would recommend removal of two teeth (My dentist recommended removal of two teeth.)
My daughter was already nervous because shes only 7 and our dentist had already recommended removing teeth so it didnt matter what i told her, in her mind-​she was going here to remove teeth! LOL.
We walked in and the receptionist girl was super sweet. Told me what i needed to complete and didnt rush me at all. Sometimes you walk into a new place and they talk very quickly that you dont understand at all But not here she was very specific and very patient. They were very busy but i didnt feel rushed at all.
When the girl came out and called my daughters name, She knew immediately that my daughter was nervous and she was so patient and so sweet with her. She told her about her kids and talked about school and what my daughters’ likes were, and her activities. She explained everything to my daughter. When Dr. Ostreicher came out and told us she wouldnt need braces until next year-​she was ecstatic. I was very happy when he said he wouldnt recommend removing teeth. Overall it was a good consultation. We will return again in June 2016 and I will update this review. It was a wonderful experience and I would recommend this place to anyone.

Today was my first appointment with Dr David. I found him to be very nice and a little funny throughout my treatment. I was also very impressed with the kind and caring staff. I highly recommend visiting Dr David for any of your orthodontic needs.

I love this place. Have been coming here for a while. The office was a recommend from family members who got their orthodontic treatment here. Dr. O and Dr. McAndrews are do nice and knowledgeable. I’m never in the office more than 15 or 20m. The staff is very nice in person and over the phone. I never have a problem getting or having to reschedule an appointment. The prices are affordable and there are reasonable payment plans if needed. I travel an hour from Brooklyn to visit the office. It’s well worth it. Highly recommend this office for orthodontic treatment! Dr. O is an expert in his field!

My 12 year old daughter just got braces. We could not have been more happy with the service we have been provided. Completely professional, thurough and informative. Very fast in moving the appointments along which is nice .My daughter is extremely happy to have braces .This office made us and her feel welcome from the beginning. Staff is very professional and warm office is clean and comfortable. Honestly the whole process was a pleasure from our end. I would highly recommend.

I recently got my braces removed at Dr.Ostreicher. Going in as an adult to get braces seemed daunting. However Dr. Ostreicher and his team were incredibly accommodating and pleasant. Everyone is always smiling! I love the family approach and atmosphere they have. They really make u feel at ease. My overall experience has been nothing short of pleasant and I have the killer smile I always wanted. I honestly did not even feel my braces being removed-​I think that was the best part-​Being done without realizing! I can’t stop smiling ! Thank you dr. Ostreicher, dr. mcandrews and your awesome team!

This office is always great. The doctors are great at what they do. The staff is always smiling with friendly faces. From the minute I check in to the minute I check out is always very quick. It is always easy to make appointments at anytime or day, even weekends. I also love that they have a pet bird named cannoli he is always fun to see and it is funny to watch him play with his toothbrush. I definitely recommend this office to any adult or child for orthodontic treatment

Doctor Ostreicher was nice, seemed knowledgeable and availale on Saturdays which I need due to my work schedule. Street parking was fine. I found a spot right away since it is residential area. The office was too cold and a little annoying with the loud bird they have in their reception area. Staff Elizabeth and Jillian/​Julianna were very nice throughout the consultation. The Doctor was speaking too fast and didnt allow me to think of questions along the process. I felt rushed so I made a 2nd consult appointment to get my questions out of the way since they wont allow a phone call. Prices were reasonable and they have affordable payment plans. The reason I chose not to go to this Doctor/​Office is mostly due to the feeling of being rushed with my concerns and his extremely rude (multiple occasions) staff member Jean whom I dont want to have to deal with via phone or in person throughout my invisalign treatment. PS. She said they dont do anything in writing when I asked for the fees breakdown. Scary!

I have been a patient of Dr. Ostreicher & Dr. McAndrews for over 3 years and I am completely satisfied with the care I have received during the Invisalign process.
I was told that it would take 18 to 24 months to straighten my teeth but my teeth were stubborn and needed more trays and time. Dr. O & Dr. McAndrews never tried to charge me anymore than the original price, they even made special trays in the office to get my teeth perfectly straight. They offer a payment plan and Care credit one year interest free financing to get you started, so there is very little out of pocket once you commit to Invisalign.
The office staff is great it’s easy to make, change or cancel appointments. It is rare to wait to see either Dr. O. or Dr. McAndrews they always have plenty of staff on hand and the office runs smoothly.
There is ample street parking in front of the office.
If you are thinking of getting braces or Invisalign this is the office to go to.

Dr. Ostreicher is the best! I was referred to him by my aunt who took my cousin to him for braces. From the initial appt, he was very knowledgeable and told me what would be the best method to straighten my teeth. We decided to go with Invisalign. Every time I have a follow-​up appt, he is friendly and welcoming!
I’ve had some issues with the insurance/​financial person. She wasn’t too pleasant but in the end we were able to get it together.
I would recommend anyone to him! His office is always packed but they move really fast and stay true to appointment times.

I was petrified as an adult to go in for orthodontic treatment. Dr. O is amazing! He is quick witted and very knowledgeable. My teeth are looking amazing, and I’m only about 2⁄3 of the way done with treatment. The entire staff is amazingly friendly, and they are just about the best. Everyone really cares and the equipment and offices are clean and top of the line.
He is one of the top Invisalign guys in the biz, and was able to take my REALLY jacked up grill, and fix it right up with just Invisalign. I’ve been to other orthodontists and I’ve been told i’d need jaw surgery and all other manner of horrific treatments. But lo, just a simple set of Invisalign with a couple of rubber bands, and I’m on my way to a movie star smile.
