History

Established in 2011.

In 2011 we moved to the small picturesque town of Marblehead, Massachusetts. It’s here that we opened MacKimmie Co, a Home and Lifestyle Shop specializing in textiles.

Growing up on the eastern seaboard in the 1960’s a cozy wool blanket was a household essential. Much has changed since my childhood, yet blankets and throws remain timeless in their appeal and function. With a void in the marketplace and a love of color, pattern and texture, MacKimmie Co. was opened in 2011. My appreciation for classic quality products; comes after a long career in the buying and merchandising fields. Our selection of blankets and throws are rooted in tradition; made by extraordinary craftspeople that create exquisite work.
