History

Established in 1985.

We have been providing childcare professionally for 27 years. We are licensed as a five star family childcare home in the city and state of Lenoir NC. My name is Linda Lockhart and I am a certified teacher and provider in the state of NC. I am married to a wonderful and supportive man. We have two grown children. We offer first and second shift childcare. We provide quality care for your child (ren) in a safe family home environment to grow, play and learn for the years to come. We have served family in Lenoir and adjoining communities since 1985. We are conveniently located in uptown Lenoir. Walking distance to Broyhill Park on Ridge St. and Lenoir Post Office. We don’t babysit, we are educating children preparing them for school and life.

My name is Linda Lockhart, I am the director and owner of Play and Learn Childcare. I am a member of the Childcare Association, and awarded CDA credential. I am a certified early childhood teacher by the state of North Carolina since 2008. I graduated from Caldwell Community College with an Associate in Early Childhood since 2003. I have also been a teacher for the More at Four Program in 2008 through 2010.
