My first 2 experiences here were very positive-good service, reasonable prices. My 3rd(and final) visit was negative. Different person at front who was unfriendly and not customer service focused. She was planning to charge me 10x what the other person had charged. It was obvious that she didn’t care at all about keeping me as a regular customer. My guess is that she was filling in for someone over lunch hour and didn’t understand how the system worked(not sure — that’s just my guess).

I hadn’t shredded personal documents for over 20 years(don’t judge lol). At first, I thought I could handle the task with my own shredder ~ it does shred 12 sheets of paper at a time, afterall. After spending probably 8 hours shredding(not all in one day), and overheating my shredder at one point, I realized that I didn’t have the time(or desire) to finish the project(I had 3 bank boxes left to shred). I assumed shredding companies were expensive, but thought it was worth a shot. Shred-it popped up in a Google search, so I checked them out. Their site was clean and professional and allowed me to request an estimate. As promised, within 24 hours, I was contacted by a Customer Service Rep who was able to tell me a price and explain my options. Though they do offer to come to you, given that their location was within a few miles of my home, I drove to them to drop off my boxes. I was greeted by several very kind and courteous employees and in less than 10 minutes, my boxes were unloaded and I had paid for the service and was on my way. As soon as my documents are shredded, they will send me a certificate of destruction. I could not be any more pleased. My only regret was that the price was so reasonable that I wished I had not even tried to tackle the project myself, as I certainly could have done something more constructive with those 8 hours I had already spent.
