PPA was recommended by a friend and was the only Pediatrician office I visited before we had our first child because I was very impressed with their office. Office staff are very friendly and helpful. The nurses are very sweet and gentle. We have been seeing Dr. Beck for the past 5 years and she is absolutely wonderful! She is very thorough, listens and hears any concerns I have ever had, has recommended great specialists (ent, dermatologist, etc.) great with my kids and has small children herself. When we can’t get into see Dr Beck (she has Thursday’s off) we have been completely satisfied with the other Drs we have seen. I have never had trouble getting in on the day that I call. It’s a great office and I recommend it to everyone who asks.

I originally planned to use Dr. Beck for my child when he was born because the doctor we were going to use did not treat at OPRMC. She came highly recommended but I planned to use them in hospital only. But when my son was born and Dr. Flint made the initial visit for this practice, my husband and I were blown away and immediately made PPA our son’s primary doctor. We saw 3 of the doctors during our hospital stay and all were patient and thorough, as well as very informative.
We now see Dr. Flint and then Dr. Beck if Flint isn’t available. We drive in from Lawrence because I know of no one comparable in our town. When I did try to see a different office in Lawrence it was to try and avoid the drive, and ended up being a horrible experience. I immediately returned to PPA.
I have never waited more than 5 minutes at their offices, which is amazing as my stepdaughters use a Doctor in Lawrence who has a typical wait time of 1 hour minimum. I never feel rushed and they are always so good with my son. When my son had a medical emergency, the nurse got the doctor while I was on hold so I could get an immediate answer. Their care is very comprehensive. It’s no wonder why they have such a great reputation in Johnson County!

This pediatric office has been a part of my life for over 25 years. My parents took me as a child and now I take my children. It has always felt like family to me. I got to know the staff over the years and they always treat you that way! I live far from the practice now but can’t imagine going anywhere else. The drive is worth it. My kids deserve the best and this is the best in the KC Metro area, hands down!
Thank you Drs. Brockleman, Heaphy, Filardi and all the others! You always work my kids in and I appreciate that from the bottom of my heart! Don’t change anything, no matter what others say!
