I chose Fry-​Wagner because my son had worked there during a college summer and he highly recommended them which I thought was crazy good praise for a 20-​something. My experience with them was very good from the beginning. They responded quickly to get a review of my home and give me a bid. they were competitive with other companies. My move was across country and somewhat complicated in that my belongings were divided up between two places at destination, both of which required shuttles. At origin, the packing and loading crew were incredible. Not a single item was broken or scratched or damaged during the move. They worked efficiently and provided care to my home. I was a little disappointed in the delivery time. Part of the issue was on my end because I had to coordinate with my condo’s scheduling, but I’d arranged everything with Fry-​Wagner very early to take this into consideration. So, instead of the stuff getting out in 5 – 10 days, our delivery was scheduled for 14 days after the pack. Then, the worst situation happened… a train in Montana had a 106 car derailment with 3 oil tankers being ruptured and the oil spilled! The good news was that my stuff wasn’t on THAT train. the bad news was that my stuff was on the train in South Dakota behind the wreck. Obviously Fry-​Wagner could not control that situation. But the delay, in conjunction with the tight scheduling at my condo and the busy schedules of the destination agent threatened to push our delivery back weeks! We were pretty upset, naturally. Customer service at Fry-​Wagner, up to the VP, went to bat for us and we got our stuff on schedule. I only wish that Fry-​Wagner has been my destination agent. The United Van agent at our destination was good, but their communication and attention to detail wasn’t as stellar as Fry-​Wagner team. The communication breakdowns at the end, along with the logistics, is the only reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars. If you are moving across country, you don’t have control over your destination agent and there is the added layer of communication on tying up the loose ends. Overall, I highly recommend them and have no regrets on choosing them for my cross-​country move.

I highly recommend using Fry Wagner — I had to move long distance from Overland Park, KS to Trinity, FL and I was extremely anxious when it came to finding a good reliable moving company. I called several other movers who would only give me estimates over the phone and wanted up front deposits and with Fry Wagner it was totally different — it was a great experience from beginning to end. No upfront deposit was needed — When I first called they were extremely friendly (Jovana) and set up an appointment for someone to come over to my house to look at my belongings. Daryll was the rep who came to my house and was very thorough and professional and took the time to explain what was going to happen since this was my first time using a moving company. He gave me a binding estimate and spent approx. 2 hours with me — I felt totally confident afterwards that this was the company I was going to use. They followed up with me several times before my move date to make sure I understood everything and to see if I had any questions or concerns.
The day of my move they were there bright and early (as I had requested since we had to leave the house that night for our drive back to FL) — and Dan from United Van Lines was the driver and person in charge and he did a fantastic job making sure my items where packed and wrapped correctly. He was very organized and you could tell he knew exactly what he was doing. He kept me updated throughout the process and was able to tell me exactly when to expect my delivery. He arrived in FL on the day he promised and once again, he was on top of things — protected my house and stair railings with blankets and plastic on the floor and steps — I was very impressed. None of my things were damaged or broken — he did an excellent job leading his crew. I can’t say enough good things about this company — especially when there are so many other nightmare movers out there. I was charged exactly what I was quoted and not a penny more. In fact, I was even given a refund since my weight was a little under what was approximated. I received my refund to my credit card in a timely manner. Through the entire process my coordinator Carrie followed up with me and made sure I was satisfied. Another thing that also impressed me was on the day of the move when the guys were there loading the truck, a representative from Fry Wagner showed up and asked if I was satisfied and happy with the job they were doing. Loved that!
Great job to everyone involved in making my long distance move less stressful and for making me feel comfortable every step of the way! I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them — they are worth it!!!

My 85 year old stepmother was trying to move some of her most valued possessions to her family 1400 miles away. She arrived at her destination a few days before the expected delivery, to be well prepared. After the delivery window came and went, she found out that her belongs were still sitting in Lenexa! Unfortunately, no one at Fry-​Wagner felt it important to let her know. Now she learns that her belongings *might* arrive a week later (3 days before she was planning on returning home). Hard to believe with this type of customer service, that this company has been in business for over 100 years.

I was in dire straights when i called Fry Wagner for an estimate on my move. I had to move within the week and was in full-​on freak-​out mode by the time I got around to calling them.
Firstly, Jovanna, who answered the phone, was extremely helpful and gave me a ballpark figure since it was going to take a while before the estimator would be able to get to my house. This really helped me feel at ease – not to mention the fact that her estimate was almost exactly correct.
Secondly, Dan, the agent who came to do the estimation was extremely kind and understanding of my situation. He gave me great advice on packing some awkward items and explained the whole process in detail.
Thirdly, the guys who came to actually move my stuff were awesome. Scott led the team; he did a great job of concisely explaining paperwork and directing the rest of the guys. He was very clear about making sure the items were packed «tight and low» so they would make it all the way to Brooklyn from KC. Eli, Brett, and Dylan all did a fantastic job with GREAT attitudes.
Finally, Janice was with me the whole time, calling and emailing to make sure everything was going okay. She was extremely patient with me (and my bank) when my credit card was erroneously locked for fraud.
I had a great experience with Fry-​Wagner – I would absolutely recommend them to someone moving in or from Kansas City.

Great team of professional movers that provided outstanding moving services from the estimate all the way through debris pickup (yes — they pickup all your boxes and moving supplies after you’re moved in!)
A representative came over to give us an estimate on moving from our condo to our new home. We also had 4 other stops to make with the moving truck. they came up with an efficient plan and the moving day went smoothly without a glitch! They even gave us as many boxes we needed — FREE. It was great. They were very helpful. I highly recommend them. Hopefully we will never have to move again, as moving is a pain in the ass, but these guys made it much easier and relived moving-​day stress. We didn’t have to worry about anything getting left behind or lost or broken. All is good — now back to unpacking boxes!

I have paid a bit for some supplies with them. The arrive tomorrow and I hope all is as smooth as it has been so far. They use the latest technology in soft ware and hardware, all the staff is to take drug tests at random (too bad for them good for me) I have a small one bedroom I have sub let for 2 months and a storage unit and a long push with an elevator at the unload and wanted 3 men the others could not guarantee 3 and they were $ 5 more than fry on the quote for 3.

Moving is stressful enough with out having to worry bout the move itself.

They showed up at my apartment at 9am and didn’t finish till 4pm… granted…I do have a LOT of stuff, but please it was just a one bedroom, and I helped them (I don’t know why).
Anyway I was a bit taken back by the fact that one old guy was letting 4 highschool boys pack all my belongings… something tells me they don’t appreciate the value if good clothing or accessories.
It was a priceless moment when they asked what was in this huge box I had just packed, I replied «shoes» and they all about died in laughter.
No huge complaints, but they certainly took their sweet ass time.
