I received a played card that was advertised as Near Mint. When I tried to exchange it for one in the correct condition, I was told they couldn’t because they had increased the price by $ 12. They at least refunded me when I returned the card, but I was very unhappy with their refusal to take responsibility and accept the exchange.

I enjoyed coming here and playing magic. I was from out of town. The crowd seemed nice, and the spacing and variety of the shop should cater to whatever you may need. Also, their pricing on many items was VERY reasonable. I appreciated that they were not trying to «get over» on their customers like other game shops do.

Another great option if you’re looking to play MTG/​Yugioh/​Pokemon in the Johnson County area. Unlike Win More, which is essentially a MTG only store, Cache is a much roomier and diversified store supporting other games. With that being said, what you gain in room and diversification (and even some arcade games!) is a loss in game specific acumen. If you want to get better at/​only play Magic; try Win More first. If you play any other TCGs, this is the store you should go to. Note that for tournaments, you unfortunately are asked to park at the back of the lot, which is nearly an 1⁄8th of a mile walk, so plan accordingly. But with Danny’s B&G next door and Minsky’s to the other side, the dining options within walking distance truly are superb.

I am very new to Magic. I went into Collector’s Cache knowing almost nothing, and asked the gentlemen behind the counter to help me build a deck that would defeat my husband’s. They were very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and friendly, and they have a huge selection. Two guys worked with me to understand my style of gameplay and reconcile it with a style that would go against my husband. There was no attempt at upselling anything, just honest opinions. I went home feeling great about my new deck. (And I beat him!)
Last week, I attended Friday Night Magic for the first time and had a good time. Everyone I played was polite, interesting, and gave me great feedback. As a woman, it’s fantastic to be treated respectfully and equally by both the employees and the clientele at a gaming store. I felt that I was really taken into the fold. Collector’s Cache definitely has our family’s business for as long as we live nearby!
