Decent place for an after church chow down. For the most part their dishes were well cooked, fresh and full of flavor. The Mongolian beef was a little grisly, but the other items were yummy. Also the breakfast and Mexican selections were delicious, and well made. The deserts were delicious as well. Overall the price seemed a little steep, but they do offer a military discount and have coupons if you belong to the players card. If you don’t mind walking past all the smoking gamblers, this place is nice buffet in an area void of buffets.

Expensive for the kind of food you can find there, no variety and very simple menu with no thrills, disappointing

Newly remodeled buffet reminds me of the lower grade buffets in Vegas. It was clean and service was great. The food was good as well.

We ate at pork chop hill one evening and were really amazed at what great service that Paula gave us. She went above and beyond to make our experience a great one! The food was great too. We will definitely be back especially if Paula’s working!

We went to this buffet and we’re pleasantly suprised! The food was great but the service was amazing! Our waitress was Paula! In all my life I’ve never had such good service! She was very attentive and kind! Hands down the best service! They are lucky to have her!

We had better food there a year ago, but on Sunday, August 16, 2015… The ONLY things I liked were the Sweet and Sour Chicken, the Sushi Rolls, and the Bread Pudding. And my partner didn’t even like the Sweet and Sour Chicken and he said something else had a terrible sauce! Hardly any salad bar at all. Mexican and Asian food spread out all over the place in a messy, random way. Hardly anything interesting for Desert, just lots of different kinds of little cakes that didn’t look good. And that’s about it.

Went here for Father’s Day. They jack up the price a little bit from the usual rate to $ 24.99 if you don’t have any discounts to take advantage of. It’s sort of OK, as they do have a food selection comparable to Vegas and fairly decent food quality across that selection. Just don’t get the pizza. It’s worse than the stuff I got for subsidized lunch back in high school. They had crab legs, carved roast, yummy steak and beans and make-your-own Phở(strange, huh?). The latter won’t win any awards, but just the fact that they had it was pretty chill. You can also get menudo if you hail from our neighbors down south — just sayin’ !! Any item that was requested made-to-order was not skimped on as far as portion size. I mean, it wasn’t like we were at Hometown Buffet. I must have sampled some 20+ items and was disappointed in only two of them: the aforementioned pizza, and the s’more shooters which was offered in the dessert area. This is a layer of ground graham crackers topped by chocolate, more graham, more chocolate and mini-mallows. Great concept. Poor execution: the graham crackers were crushed into sawdust size particles — and they tasted like sawdust. Otherwise, the steam table items were well seasoned and generally delicious. I should mention the great service — also comparable to Vegas buffets. I’m sure that it was just because of the special occasion, but there were a lot of local families there. Everyone seems to be attended to by any server that was passing nearby. A real team culture that you don’t see at too many places in our part of the Central Valley. We will be back again.

I’m surprise to see some high ratings here. I’ve been here a few times with family(because there’s not many choices of restaurants here) and I never thought the food was that good, especially for $ 18.00 per person. Not worth the price. You can spend that at an upscale restaurant. Service is fine. I’m might like one or two items, but overall not satisfied

If you have class, or are picky, this is not the place for you. Bacon was good then got a piece that was way to salty. Omelet to order was very good. Most food was dry or overdone, or cold by the time I got back to table. I’d go again, just not often, and I wouldn’t take visiting family or friends.

This is the only decent restaurant on grounds of the Tachi Hotel and Casino. The food was good. Above average for a buffet. The roast beef was amazing! To my surprise, there were no flies in the restaurant. The casino has a fly problem and I refused to eat at the other restaurant on grounds due to the many flies inside. The buffet served fresh food and was clean. The wait staff was very nice.

I was extremely disappointed in this buffet. We headed there Saturday night based on several recommendations. They had very little food available. A number of trays were empty. We waited for half-hour so they could cook more food. When they did put out additional food, it was either raw or still frozen. We eventually had to ask for a refund, which they were shocked that we would ask until we walked them over to the frozen shrimp. They eventually refunded our money. On the bright side, I did win a bit of money there, too bad they didn’t get to win it back because we left after the horrible experience at the buffet.

Looked nice from the outside, but was closed both nights I stayed at the hotel. There was a sign that says closed for cleaning out front. Apparently it is closed on Tue and Wed, even though the website lists it open and the front desk recommended it. It’s a good hike from the hotel rooms

I was very impressed. Friends kept recommending this buffet and I was hesitant 2 go. It was mexican night and they had a live band going 2 different tables, they were entertaining and fun ! Restaurant was clean and food was fresh. I really liked there service, every 1 was nice and every 1 was busy working. Even the managers were busy helping out. I will definitely go back next time I’m there !!!

They have multiple nationalities of food spread out across a massive buffet. Everything was excellent. Well above your standard buffet quality. I came here with five people and we were all really happy with everything we came across. They also offer a 10% military discount.

The Palace. Thirty years ago it was either a field of dirt or alfalfa field or something, just another hot dusty place somewhere on the hot valley floor. Then something happened… A little bingo hall sprung up, then it just started growing, growing, growing, until today, when I drive up to it it almost sorta kinda reminds me of Oz. Inside is the gleaming Pork Chop Hill Buffet, with a lot of great food that I highly recommend. But it wasn’t always that way. It used to be the downstairs Quail Plume which started off great but somehow over the years declined to, at the end of it’s life, just not being very good at all. The move upstairs, as far as I’m concerned, breathed new life into it and now it’s great, and I’d say very high quality for a buffet. I for sure recommend Thursday or Friday night. Lobster(1) and all you can eat Crab and Prime Rib(and shrimp, clams, salmon, ribs and a whole lot of other stuff) for $ 18.99. Oh yeah! But what I really want to say here is, to see growth like The Palace has seen, it takes superlative, ultimate effort by people who work there. Maybe not by every single person(because I know that not every person there has always given this), but I do think that the people who do put forward that kind effort are a major reason why the Palace has gone so far. And I’d like to recognize one who I know who has done that, Paula, a waitress in Pork Chop Hill. I’ve always enjoyed her from the great times at Quail Plume down through the not so good, and on up to the terrific place the buffet is today. Her smiling face never fails to put a smile on mine, although sometimes I wonder how she ever really has time to smile because I think she’s the hardest working person in the casino. If you ask me, I think the employee’s training program at the Palace should consist of seven words: «Do it the way Paula does it!» I can see where working in the buffet can be an awfully tough job at times, and when times were tough at the old buffet I can imagine it being really hard to stay with it. But I’ll tell you this, Paula was a big reason why I «kept the faith» and remained being a customer through the years. In my mind, she practically carried the place on her shoulders, especially in the bad times, and what they have now is, in my opinion, a result of such loyal and Herculean effort. Thanks Palace, for having such a great buffet and employing such a great person. Paula, you are, hands down, the best. Anywhere that I know of. A 100-star waitress in a world of 3 ½ star waitresses! I always feel like I’m getting treated like a king whenever you’re around! If you read this, just know that there is someone out there who really appreciates what you do. Thanks much! And no, I honestly am not related to Paula in any way nor do I know her from anywhere else but as a customer. Only negative comment about PCHB– whatever you do, don’t tell them it’s your birthday. If you do you will get the whole crew to do some awful, embarrassing birthday thing for you… I Caroomba! The poor people who get it done to them and the poor people who have to do it. ~~!cringe!~~ :(

Came here with my family twice… and we all agree… that the best foods here are their mashed potatoes and freshly made pastas. Otherwise, their food are salty, dry, or plain nasty. I personally liked the beef and broccoli, and sometimes their fish. Their clam chowder is nasty, don’t EVER get their pork(it reeks), and those cute wontons/dumplings/money bags/folded pie things… not worth your taste buds. The service is great though. Our servers were always friendly and attentive, especially this one Asian lady, around her late 20’s, 30’s. There was this one female cook at the pasta station, she wasn’t friendly, nor did she cook the pasta right(they were stuck together). If there is a tall, kind of big man in the past line, i think he wore glasses, definitely get pasta! He makes the pasta really good. My personal favorite is half pesto half alfredo with linguini pasta and chicken and shrimp. OH! i don’t recommend their shrimps… they taste funny, too fishy. I love shrimp too so it’s a disappointment. Overall, you disappointed me Pork Chip Buffet OOH! you do get a discount for being a Tachi card holder. If you’re a senior citizen you can get $ 2 discount. If you get a coupon in the mail, you have to get it validated from the Guest Services downstairs(so annoying).
