What? Test time? Rest assured, we will make your experience as easy and painless as possible! We’re the first Test Only station in Lemon Grove, let us show you how and why we’ve been successful at what we do!

At Lemon Grove Smog Test Only Station, being a STAR certified station, our friendly ASE certified technicians can smog and certify all vehicles that require the California Smog certification. This includes DMV STAR directed vehicles, Test Only directed vehicles, Gross Polluters, Diesels, Title Transfers, Initial California Registrations, and all regular smog inspections. Unlike other shops, we have a huge lot that can accommodate Class A motor homes.

Smog inspections is our only business and being a Test Only station means that you won’t be pushed to make any (unnecessary) repairs. And what if you fail the smog inspection? For a limited time, we’re offering Yelpers a re-​inspection for only $ 5 (+ cert). Just mention this ad when you come in.

Fast and friendly! I brought in my 87 Mustang for a smog check. $ 51.74 for the inspection and $ 8.25 for the certificate. I was in and out by 25 minutes. While you wait you can eat at Charley’s Famous burgers or even get a haircut at Hahn’s Barbershop (both are very good places). Overall I was very pleased with their service.

Needless to say that I am a «BIG» procrastinator. I needed a smog test done, I had already past the due date so I had a late fee. So I’m rushing around last week looking to get a smog test asap. When I went to the place close to home for smog test… mind you I didn’t have an appointment the wait was 1 ½ hours, I was told that was kinda normal for them. So I found this place on Unilocal and gave him «Duy» a call… reasonable prices and he said no «WAIT» …what??? So I started heading that way thinking yeah when I get there I will have to wait. Got there about 10 minutes later and Duy took me right away (I didn’t have an appointment mind you) He mentioned it would take about 10 – 15 minutes… I was like «yeah right». Duy was very kind and professional and a man of his word. 15 minutes later done. I passed the smog test and was in my car driving away. Thank you so much Duy for helping me at that stressful moment. Great customer care.

Really straight forward and easy experience with these guys.
Needed a smog done mid-​day on a Saturday and other places had an hour wait or longer. These guys had me in and out in 10 minutes with no appointment. $ 49.99 for the test and DMV certification electronic submission.
Service was solid. The guys were very friendly and tended to me as soon I got there. Definitely coming back.
Another review is saying the Asian man gave him really bad customer service… the Asian guy that helped me was super friendly and helpful. Not sure how one could complain.

Omg weirdest thing I pulled into LG smog test only for my lil honda. Thought all was fine but when Duy opened the hood my overflow was overflowing bubbling and not looking good. He had already started so may as well let cool off and finish. Panicked like a little girl I called every boy in my phone while I slurped my pb choc banana shake from next door. I walked back in distress but Duy surprised with «it passed». Omg yay. Now we must find out the bubbles situation. N e ways made my day. Service fast professional and I like it 2nd time here. How long till smif exempt? Let’s ask Duy lol

Here’s the quick and dirty on the place.
Excellent service. I recently went in w/​o an appointment and got seen right away. The staff is super friendly and appear to be very knowledgeable about the services. Work is completed when promised.
Easy in and out. Their business is on the corner and they have a gated parking lot with plenty of room (no fear of getting any dings on your car from too tight spaces and garages).
Convenient to REPAIR services too! They have a repair shop right next door (same parking lot). They have excellent service — see my Unilocal review there for details.

Drove my grandma’s car here for a smog test a few days ago without an appointment. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. The smog tech was friendly and courteous. Prices are very reasonable too. A nice experience, I definitely recommend this place.
