Great Staff and even better rates.
I switched from Waste Management who was charging me 3 times as much and requires all sorts of horrific contract terms and cancellation restrictions.

I’m not even a customer and I can tell they have very poor service. Edco dropped off 3 trash cans i didn’t even order on Monday. I have called everyday for them to come take their trash cans, obviously their delivery guy dropped off to the wrong house. It’s Friday and those cans are still sitting out in the street in front of my house.

Worst disposal service I have ever had. Completely unreliable. Pick up was rescheduled by one day because of the Xmas Holiday — it is now Wednesday a no one has yet to show up. Worst, this is not the first time this company’s service has been proven to be inadequate. The customer and its supervisor act as if you are bothering them when you call in for information or to find out what is happening. Inappropriate responses. If I were running this company I would fire the entire staff and management and start over from scratch. The current organization does not have the wherewithal to provide acceptable service. Steer clear of this company if you can.

And they now work with schools accepting donations for their various causes :)

Very poor service!!! Not by the guys who pick up our trash, but management. They are not allowed to get out of their trucks to pick up an extra bag or if you leave a big box (broken down) on top of the recycle and it falls off before it gets into the trash truck.
Now comes the good business of this: because we live in condos and the guys were not allowed out of their trucks they could not get the trash containers to stay out of the carports for people coming home from work, so now the guys have to take their truck and park it out of the condos and walk back in to straighten the trash cans as we had them for them. Would it not be more cost effective to let the guys get out and straighten as they go. Edco, you are wasting your own money!!!

Cindy home is unprofessional and disrespectful. I have been living in a home since January and just finally received my bill addressed to lemon grove but they want to charge me the spring valley rate. I have had issues with edco since day one and the attitude is very much unappreciated. I would love to be with another company as this impression has left me with a bad taste of their service.

Great customer service. The people that answer the phones talk to you as if they personally know you. I have never had any issues with my service. They are always at my house at pretty much the same time every week so I know exactly when I need to have my trash cans out. I will use them for life. Not to mentioned they had the best pricing

In the real estate business we often have to clean the trash out of houses we buy. We use different companies to bring out trash bins so we can load in the trash. Edo does a good job. I would have given them a higher rating but one of their customer service reps gave us a lot of attitude on one occasion. They get the job done.

Have been an EDCO residential customer for several years. No complaints, whatsoever. Fair pricing, Polite drivers. Timely pickups.

EDCO has higher fees than WM and Daily, but there are no cancellation fees like those other companies have. I considered switching companies, but did not like the idea of signing a contract so I’m sticking with EDCO. They have provided satisfactory service (no problems at all) for the past several years. When I cancelled last week, they immediately refunded my money for the service they hadn’t provided yet. After discovering the contracts and fees of the other 2 companies, I’ve decided to stick with EDCO.

dump unwanted items! The traffic is a bit crazy. It does not smell as bad as I thought it would. I am glad that it is not too far of a drive for me. The people are nice for the most part, but they are there to direct you where you need to go.

We are about to be dirt poor (due to a lay off) so we called edco to see if they could possibly pick up once a month. Understandably, the answer was no, but it was worth a shot. So, we cancelled service. We were paid up through September 30^th. Our trash was emptied by the trash trucks but no one wanted to pick up the trash cans. My mom called every other day to ‘remind’ them about their cans, but of course we weren’t paying customers anymore so why would they care. The ‘customer service’ people were rude and they sounded bored and annoyed. They repeatedly made promises and subsequently told lies when they said someone would be out to pick them up. October 9^th comes around and I had had enough. I asked to speak to a manager and let her know just how incompetent her company was (like she isn’t fully aware of that fact) and she said they would be picked up on the 10^th. Finally!
I find it so sad that so many people who are currently employed aren’t more appreciative. I would be so grateful to have a job and I would have made it my mission to get someone out to pick up the cans as soon as the issue came to my attention.

Have recently had much more success with the customer service. Happy that EDCO is starting to make life a little easier with a helpful representative at the end o f the line!

I hate trash. I hate smelly things. I hate throwing away stuff and wasting. I hate trash.
But Edco, helps. They have amazing customer service. I live on a main road and often my trashcans have been vandalized. Edco never accuses me of doing anything wrong. If I missed getting the trash out (I have two male roommates at the time) then they have come back to pick up my trash.
Edco is one company that you can call and talk to an actual person with real customer service skills. Respectful and caring.

Horrible customer service due to lack of competition (exclussive contract with city of La Mesa). They spread trash all over, leave it and then blame you. Poor management is also a given with this company.

I was very impressed today when I recycled my cans and bottles at this location for the very first time. The attendant was very nice and educated me on how to separate my items in order for him to process my cans and bottles for my CRV refund. This location only accepts CRV recycling which is good to know.
Steps for recycling your CRV:
–Separate glass bottles in green bins by color (green, clear, brown)
–Separate plastice by color in round mesh bins (clear, white/​opaque)
–Separate cans into round mesh bins
Attendant will weight/​count items, print a receipt, then will process the receipt and give you cash back.

I come here to use their scales to weigh newly purchased commercial vehicles, and its always been a pleasant experience. They charge $ 13 to weigh a vehicle, and give you the certificate to take tot he dmv. Their employees always seem to be in a god mood, just make sure if you use the scales you enter gate 3 or 4. I prefer gate 3 because gate 4 has these metal speed bump things laid down in front.

I’ve been pretty happy with Edco over the years. Sometimes they put my trashcans back in a bad spot — and a couple times they’ve been a bit rough with my carts, but overall they’ve been good.
We got a good deal to try another company so I wasn’t looking forward to cancelling with Edco. I did it via their web site and got a quick & very polite reply from one of the customer service reps, whose name (Cindy Horne) I recognized from an interaction many years ago.
Ms. Horne was super friendly and helpful and while she pointed out Edco’s strong points (live person customer service & 3x yearly bulky item pickup) and encouraged me to stay, didn’t try to make me feel bad for trying another company. I had some issues with my new company and may very well end up back with Edco again, because their customer service (talking to a person, and via email) is very good.
