We showed up at the Dulles Town Center Green Turtle with 6 adults and 6 kids. The host(larger man with spiked blonde dyed hair) was going to make us wait 20 minutes in the middle of the day so his servers could have rest. There were open tables and no one waiting to be seated, which I pointed out. He still refused so I notified his manager Stephanie who apologized, but only after I refused to eat there and left for Red Robin. I am from the Baltimore area and have been going to the Green Turtle for years. I have never experienced such poor service, especially from this franchise. I hope someone in upper management reads this and addresses it so no one else has the awful experience. Avoid this location if u have large parties. Steve D

–Televisions were too loud! –I had to pay an extra $ 0.99 for cold and limp fries –Their potato chips taste stale like they’ve been sitting out –Management didn’t want to deal with my issue from a previous visit. They basically blew me off. It doesn’t matter how busy you are, if a customer has a concern, you deal with it. This GT Rewards member will not return.

Not the best place in Leesburg to go to. I will say the new management has made the place better. However they still do karaōke on Thursday night and you cant hear any of the games. The crowd is pretty beat when games are on. It could be a lot better as a sports bar but still struggling.

The new Leesburg management team has turned this place around. Kitchen has improved and so has the wait-staff.

I tried this place a lot because of friends and family and the food has always been bad. Service was ok. If you like bar food, this is the place in my opinion! Prices are ok.

«Under new local management». That is better? I don’t think so. They have gone from bad to worse. Fish and chips dinner. Soggy over cooked Fish and fries. Spicy fries and spicy sauce for the fish. Come on it’s a basic comfort food and easy to make. You couldn’t have made it any worse. Please try and stick to basics when it comes to comfort food and don’t reinvent. Also, food doesn’t have to be spice or salty to be good.

I am not surprised by the bad reviews; we stopped coming here a few years ago after a string of horrible experiences. Last night we let some friends talk us into giving them another try since this location is under new ownership and I have to say, I’m really glad we did. Our waitress was fantastic; super friendly and knowledgable and able to make some great recommendations, she also mentioned she brought her family to eat there on her day off which I took as a good sign. We started with the pretzel appetizer and she mentioned the mustard is homemade in-house, and it was excellent. The food was solidly good(burger for me, party melt for my husband), with generous portions and reasonable prices. My kids ate free and almost everything on their plate which was a lot of food. The peach iced tea was outstanding. Didn’t give 5 stars because it took forever even though it was relatively quiet, but worth the wait.

I love the Green Turtle in Sterling, So I was really disappointed by this one in Leesburg. The table we sat on was dirty. the TV was splattered in god-knows-what I didn’t want to touch anything as it was sticky !! When my meal came out the fries were cold. I am not one to complain about stuff like that as I have seen enough movies to show chefs spitting in food. So I didn’t say anything. The hostesses were nice and friendly, nothing to report there. I just suggest they have a good clean of their TVs and tables and check the temperature of fries before going out! As others have said, you will wait a long time for your meal to come out even if it is not busy in there.

Overall I was disappointed, but that’s likely because their menu sounds so fantastic. We stopped in for a weekday lunch and after pursuing the menu decided on the Chesapeake Burger and my fiancée ordered the Ruben sandwich. There are so many other interesting options on the menu that I have no idea why we stayed so far inside the box. I really wish we’d have explored the menu a bit more. My burger was fair. It wasn’t anything to write home about, but it certainly wasn’t bad either. I could see the crab dip being really good on it’s own, but the burger muted it a bit. Fries were fantastic. The Ruben was awful. The Guinness sauerkraut was tasty on its own, but didn’t offer the tangy bite that is customary in a Ruben. The sourdough bread was blah. Go rye or go home. The corned beef was abysmal. It was soft and fatty, but the fat wasn’t soft it was grissle and hard to chew. It was sent back. The server was very kind and understanding and I can’t say enough about him and his professional attitude and helpfulness. She ordered as a replacement the crabby Mac and cheese. Crab, bacon, Mac and cheese… what can go wrong? Well it just sounds better than it is… and I think it should be hard to botch adding bacon to anything, but it was soft and soggy and didn’t add anything to the dish. The cheese itself wasn’t as bad as a crappy buffet Mac and cheese dish, but I felt like they really missed an opportunity. The dish was so blah, I almost forgot to mention the portion size was incredibly small for the price. You just don’t want more of it, and that’s not a good thing. Dogfish Head has a fourteen dollar mac and cheese dish that doesn’t have the lump crab meat, but would win in a taste test 8 days a week against this dish, and given that it’s bacon crab mac and cheese, that shouldn’t happen.

Stopped in here for what I thought would be a quick lunch. Place was completely dead mid-day on a Saturday. Figured that would mean quick service and I’d be in and out. I was wrong. Put an order in for some wings and fries. Thought that was fairly simple, but from ordering to food arriving about 45 minutes passed. While I was waiting I got to witness a waiter change into his uniform shirt behind the bar and a drunk man fall into some bar stools(1:30PM). Didn’t expect much from a chain type restaurant, but after 45 minutes I got decent wings and cold fries. I almost felt like sending them back, but at that point I just wanted to get out of there. Server was at least nice enough to keep refilling my water and show me how to change the channels on the table TV and even asked if I wanted anything on one of the larger TVs. Prices are moderate. Maybe it’s just a bad location, but I would ultimately not return to this Green Turtle. Parking around the restaurant as it’s in a shopping center.

The owners are amazing and nice people. The bar is fast. Food is pretty fast even on the weekends. Food is great(get the chesapeake burger) it is kind of weird that you have to pay 99 cents to get fries with your burger, and even then I only got a handful of them. The drinks are mixed well. The bathrooms are very clean. And they have a few arcade games too.

I was in VA for the week and wanted to try a «local» spot. Well, I can tell you there is no shortage of televisions to watch at this place. I would imagine that would be a great thing for some people. I thought the prices were a bit high considering the food was pretty mediocre tasting. The service was OK, but not much better than that. I expected and had hoped for better food, better prices and better service. It’s just another sports bar, nothing special.

We stop here frequently when going from Centreville thru Leesburg to home in MD. Convenient location and waitstaff are always so friendly to us! This time, I got the Chipotle bone-in wings and man were they hot! Very good, though, just needed a few xtra napkins ;) Dalana, our server was a sweetheart, making sure we had everything we needed and very friendly. We’ll be back!

This is the worst review I’ve ever written for the worst bar I’ve been to. The food isn’t what I remember here, maybe it was good, maybe it was bad. The service was so awful that I will never go here again. If you insult your customers they won’t come back. If you hire people that do this, get better employees.

Bland. That totally describes it. Not bad, but we had the spinach and artichoke dip and the Brewer’s burger and both were completely bland. Not that I like salt or pepper, but everything needed something, or hot sauce/Thai pepper or something to give it that kick. Prices without our Groupon deal were higher than what we tasted or actually received, service was fairly slow(wasn’t that busy), but on the positive side the décor and patio areas are quite nice. Unfortunately, pretentious and bland come to mind first.

Pleasantly surprised. This place did not totally suck. It’s a corporate chain but I’d go there to eat a burger and watch some sports. Bartender was friendly and prompt, and the food came out as ordered. My brother had a salad and it was enormous. If you’re looking for a sports bar with a good beer selection and decent pub food, add it to your rotation. Oh and they have skee-ball.

Pretty sure I’ve reviewed other GTs before, but apparently not this location. I visited it for something like the second time yesterday. It took a little longer than it should’ve for the server to come around to us to take our order, but everything went off without a hitch after that. GT’s food isn’t anything to write home about in terms of a full meal, but when you’re just in the mood to kick back with friends and enjoy something cold to drink with some appetizers, you can’t go wrong. The pretzel sticks with queso are a must-have, and the wings are pretty darn good too.
