Ebrada Atelier

I would not recommend this place. The store is not even open most of the time. I was looking for a particular wedding gown that the store owner claimed that they carried and when I went they didn’t have anything. Brides, stay away from this place. They do not carry any of the bridal designers they advertise on their website.

I have had Cathy make two wonderful dresses for my cotillon ball and I look like a princess in both Cinderella and rapunzel which I love and she did a amazing job on both and on my flowers for my hair it was amazing and Lorena and Cathy are great team when it comes to making dresses

Cathy is amazing. Saved me last minute on my wedding gown. She puts her heart into everything. Love her. Fine fabrics, custom fits, hand beading… reasonable

Cathy was great to work with. I came to her after visiting a few larger bridal shops so I had narrowed down what I wanted. She ordered my gown direct from the designer and we had 3 fittings. My gown had a long detachable train in addition to a small train that could be bustled, and Cathy spent time with my sister in law making sure she knew how to deal with those pieces on the big day.

I wasn’t even able to get in their door to be able to see their selection. I called to see if I could make an appointment and they informed me that they are charging per appointment and will credit me when I buy a dress… I’ve never heard of this before. Ridiculous!

I cannot say enough kind words about Cathy and her work. Because of her, I was able to truly enjoy my wedding reception with a second dress. I bought a beautiful wedding gown, but after picking it up from alterations, I realized I was not going to be comfortable dancing in it. I frantically started looking for a dress that I could change into later in the reception for dancing. I gave Cathy a call a week before my wedding and she graciously offered for me to come to her shop right away. After meeting with her, we realized that a custom dress was the best option to meet the vision of my second dress. Cathy was so sympathetic and offered to make a custom gown for me in a week! Unbelievable! We sat down together and she sketched out a dress. She then took my measurements right away, researched and purchased the material (after showing me a number of beautiful options to pick from), AND added hand beaded embellishments. It doesn’t stop there… Since I was scrambling those last couple days before the wedding, she drove an hour to my home for one of the fittings and then again to deliver the final dress to me. The dress was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, so comfortable, and impeccably tailored to my body. I received so many compliments. It truly made my day so special and a lot more enjoyable!

Cathy Ebrada literally saved me! I was the step-​mother of the groom and my company was catering the wedding… no pressure there. No, because the real pressure was self-​inflicted when I waited until the week before the wedding to realize that I really needed a dress. The dress that I favored needed to be ordered months prior. Whoops! I kept saying to myself that I would lose that pesky twenty pounds before the wedding. Well that didn’t happen and before I knew it, the wedding was HERE! My assistant, well aware of my panic and angst, jumped to my aid and called every bridal shop in the surrounding area looking for «the dress». While many laughed at my assistant, Cathy from Ebada Atelier answered her phone assuring my assistant that she could help. The appointment was made and off I went. Now Ebrada Atelier is a little difficult to find but don’t dismay because once you meet Cathy you quickly learn that she knows her stuff. She has a keen eye and is a master seamstress. While «the dress» wasn’t available, Cathy offered to make one for me but luckily I noticed this royal blue dress on her sample rack and to my relief it was my size. Cathy suggested some alterations for the dress to better suit my body style. In two days and on my 50^th birthday, I had «The Dress» in hand relieved and ready to dance the night away.
I have only the highest of praise for Ebrada and highly recommend this talented seamstress but please plan early. Ebrada made me feel like a million bucks. I will be returning with my step-​daughter very soon and I will lose that twenty pounds!

I’ve had the opportunity to work with the owner/​designer, Cathy, of the Ebrada Atelier. She is a wonderful person, very easy to work with and her work is amazing! Her attention to detail is very impressive! I photographed a line of her beautiful wedding gowns in 2014 and got the photos published in Northern Virginia Magazine and in DC Luxary Magazine.

Fantastic service! I got my dress for prom at the Prom Wishes event and she donated her alteration services. The alterations were fast and done very well! I have already recommended her to a handful of my friends.

Owner was super nice and she made us feel special. Despite not having a huge selection the bride found a great dress.

Also, the owner is a little chatty but totally means well. Make an appointment and hit this place first. Not overwhelming so you can ease into a full day of dress shopping
