The Cove is located in Lakewood, in Lee’s Summit, MO.(Sorry, no pictures, as of yet). It is a soft setting, overlooking Lakewood, and the shoreline. We had my 30th high school reunion at this location. It is a venue, with 2 separate rooms, upstairs, and downstairs. There was actually a different party going on upstairs, which I walked right into. They were line dancing. I walked right out. The downstairs area is carpeted. It includes a banquet room, a small kitchen area, and a second room. In the second room, there’s a bar area, with a few tables. In the banquet area, there’s several tables. One is long, the others seat 5 comfortably. The deck goes outside, to more tables. On the web site, it says it seats 200 people, 100 on each floor. I think we had more than 100 people, and were quite comfortable. The lighting was kind of iffy. They were dimming on and off. Maybe someone was messing with the switch. The lighting in the bar area was nice, soft lights. Bathrooms are on both floors. There is both an elevator, and a carpeted staircase going upstairs. The front area has a small check in space, and a coat rack. Outside, there is a pool, and it was clean. It was on the ground level. It is large, and people were utilizing it in another group. It includes a club house area, and bathrooms. The deck has stars down to the pool, and ground level. Little parking lot both in front, and across the street. It has a covered canopy area, for deliveries. It is a very comfortable venue for events, and easy to find, as well. Some places in Lakewood are more difficult to locate. This one is just off of Lee’s Summit Road and Lake Drive. Go and check it out, if you need a venue. I’ll try to drive by there, and get some pictures at a later date.
