Lee’s Summit Total Auto Care

Had my 98′ four door lumina towed here after I had a flat tire. I was then told my car needed a new subframe and that another tires treading was ruined! (Even though I just got that tire brand new a month previously). So after I bit the bullet, I told them to go ahead and fix my power steering leak. Not to mention I told them to keep the «bad» brand new tire as a spare in my trunk (not the popped tire that I originally towed it there for). The total came out to above $ 1,700 and I later found that after they «fixed» my power steering pump, it was still leaking so I wasted a good amount of money on that. Not to mention THEY DIDNT GIVE ME THE GOOD «bad — according to them» TIRE TO KEEP AS A SPARE! Not just that but they charged me for a tire disposal fee for the 2^nd tire I wanted to keep for a spare… Need I mention again this was pretty new tire and not the popped tire. When I called to speak to the manager, RANDY I believe, his excuses for disposing of the tire were nonsensical gibberish playing like it was the popped tire. This business is not a place to go to. I payed almost 2 grand for a popped tire and just to get my car back since they deemed it dangerous to drive and lied about a subframe. Not to mention they put in a new power steering pump that didn’t even fix the problem and basically ripped me off. DO NOT GO HERE! Save your money and your vehicle!
UPDATE: it has been over a year now, and my power steering is still broke (needs fluid every day of the winter). So much for fixing that power steering pump. I seem to never find trustworthy mechanics anywhere. The only trusting mechanic I’ve EVER been to is Pro Alignment in Belton. Hoping to find one around here.

I try to have my car worked on in Springfield at Denis’ Volvo if I can at all help it, but on my way to work last week I had a noise coming from my car that sounded like I was in a Cessna about to take off from a landing strip any moment. Terrified that it was something in my engine I took my car to Lee’s Summit Total Auto Care. They were close to work and had good reviews online. They diagnosed the issue with my car for 29 bucks, and were able to fix it for around 400. I feel like that was a bit high. My Volvo mechanic in Springfield quoted me way less, but unfortunately my car was not safe to drive that far so I forked over the 400 bucks. My total bill with a synthetic oil change was 516. Not happy about the bill, but happy they were able to fix my car so quickly. The staff was also super friendly and nice.

We’ve used Lee’s Summit Total for several years and have always been very pleased with the service and rates. They do an excellent job with a quick turnaround time, would definitely recommend them.

This is the only place I take my truck to get serviced. I can always count on them to tell me exactly what needs to be fixed and nothing more. I have stopped in many times and they have taken a few moments out of their time to just look at my truck and let me know everything was ok. I would recommend them to everyone.
