History

Established in 2009.

In 1991 John joined University Medical Center and started his otolaryngology practice specializing in the ears, nose, and throat while also offering aesthetic services. In 2009 he moved the aesthetic services of Tate Medispa to Physicians Plaza near I-​40 off South Hartman Drive.

Meet the Business Owner

Dr. John T.

Business Owner

Doctor Tate was born in Montana and moved to Louisiana when he was young. He began his academic journey at Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge, and was accepted into LSU’s School of Medicine in Shreveport where he was awarded his doctor of medicine. He remained at LSU’s Health Sciences Center for both his internship and residency in Otolaryngology/​Head and Neck Surgery. He completed a year-​long fellowship in Heiden, Switzerland, and Shreveport, La., under the direction of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology/​Head and Neck Surgery.

Seeking professional independence after completing his medical training, Dr. Tate left Louisiana to practice in Oregon, where he remained for six years. He found he missed life in the South, though, and when he learned of a chance to return with an opportunity in Lebanon, he moved to Tennessee.
