Awesome BBQ place! The peach BBQ sauce is to die for. I’ve had the pork and brisket, both were fantastic. Convenient parking right across the street in a lot. Would recommend for anyone that wants a legit BBQ place

Ever since Smokestack Lightning succumbed to the devastating flood a few years ago Lebanon County has been starved for quality BBQ. Until now. Welcome Pudgey’s. These guys know what they’re doing. They would be a weekly stop for me if I lived in the area. On my visit this past Black Friday, two friendly gentlemen assisted me with my sizable purchase. The main event was the ribs. Most importantly it’s clear they use a high quality meat. Deeply smoked to an eye-pleasing mahogany the ribs tasted cherry good. My sauce choices of Mustard and Spicy were outstanding and complimented them perfectly. The sausage was excellent, as well; somewhat sweet, very plump, and well smoked. The brisket was just OK; the taste was there but it was cut too thin for my liking. Just a personal preference. As far as the sides, I tried the mac ‘n’ cheese and the green beans. I feel they both need work. The mac ‘n’ cheese was more buttery than cheesy while the beans were too vinegary for my taste and included small slices of potato, perhaps a bit of a homage to Pennsylvania Dutch style cooking but blasphemy for someone like me who picks the potatoes out of his Campbell’s Chunky soup. I look forward to trying different sides my next visit. Hopefully the Lebanon community will support Pudgey’s and they enjoy a nice, long run downtown.

Barbecue is surprisingly hard to find in this area. Now, though, not only is there barbecue but really good barbecue. My wife and I tried the ribs, pulled pork sandwich, and a variety of sides. The ribs had a nice rub, a little char, and were fall-off-the-bone. The pulled pork was very flavorful. Five sauces to choose from. Great sides: excellent mac & cheese, good and peppery collard greens, good mashed sweet potatoes, fantastic cole slaw(creamy and somewhere between coarse and Dixie-cut), and great baked beans. The corn bread was flavorful and moist.(Could’ve been a little thicker, but that’s just my preference.) It’s take-out only, in a tiny storefront, but wow, I’m in barbecue heaven.
