This place has the worst customer service. I purchased my bridesmaid dress from here. Not only did the dress come in with ripped rouching and a damaged clasp, but the salon ordered me a dress about 2 sizes too big where I incurred an extra fee for the«larger» size. Then when I showed up to try it on, the owner had the audacity to tell me «it basically fit»!! I took it to my seamstress who had to reconstruct the dress to where I could actually wear it. I immediately called the salon to complain and the owner got very defensive telling me that the dress did not need to be taken in that much. After speaking with the owner more than twice and an email chain spanning 5 months, the owner said she would reimburse me for the damage to the dress and for the extra fee incurred from ordering the wrong size. The owner never held up her end of the bargain and continues to make excuses for the delay in paying me. Another bridesmaid was ordered a dress a size too small. The salon encouraged her to get the dress altered there with their seamstress. They also told her to lose 5 pounds. When she went to pick the dress up, the seamstress had destroyed the dress. It was hemmed way too short and the chest area was a disaster. She had to take the dress to another seamstress to fix what this salon did. The owner was totally not accommodating and actually rude. With all the bridal salons out there, I would never go back to this shit hole.

What started out being a very positive experience ended up being very negative. Monica was very helpful in my search for a MOG dress. I had pictures and she found the dresses on the racks along with many others to try on. I then returned with 2 friends to help me make my decision. The dress was ordered and was delivered on time. I came in right away to try it on because I was concerned with the size that was ordered. The dress was fine and the owner told me that I could wait until after my vacation to come back in for my fitting. She made an appointment for me to come back in about 4 weeks. Of course I put the date on my calendar and was looking forward to having the dress altered and bringing it home. The morning of my appointment the owner called me and asked if I was supposed to be coming in that afternoon. I said yes, my dress shoes were by the door and my day was planned for this appointment. She said, well the appointment was put in the book«in the wrong color ink» and the seamstresses would not be in that afternoon so I was told not to come in. Because of the very limited hours of the seamstresses and the fact that their father was ill(seems this should probably not have been shared with me) finding a day to reschedule became impossible. I ended up driving to the store anyway that afternoon and taking my dress to be altered elsewhere. Very disappointed with the lack of customer service at the end of this experience. The owner did not seem to care at all that SHE was the one who put the appointment in «the wrong color ink.» I had never heard that excuse before. One would think that after spending $ 500 on a dress you would get a little bit more in the way of service.

Horrible service all around. As a bridesmaid I ordered my dress through the boutique with the rest of the bridal party. Most of the girls do not live in the area so scheduling alterations was difficult considering the times the seamstresses are available…(they work outside of the boutique and come in only certain days.) One girl drove three hours to get sized only to find out the seamstress was not available. Meanwhile I made an appointment over the phone and was called a million times about coming in to pay the rest of my balance… if she had just checked the calendar regularly she would have known I was stopping in soon. Then, I found it weird that all of the girls who were measured at the boutique ended up having to take the dress in and hemmed up… we all were about a size and half smaller than our original measurements, so basically we paid the same amount in alterations as the cost of the dress… I appreciated having the price of the bridesmaids dress be so low but the alteration cost was ridiculous. All in all the poor bride suffered some major headaches due to the inefficiency of this shop and the bridesmaids ended up paying more for alterations than the actual dress. PS the dress quality is poor, most of the dresses and bridal gowns in the boutique have very low quality fabric.

I had a dress disaster 12 days before my wedding at a NYC dress salon. My Mother in Law told me about Lace and Beads– she made a call and 30 mins later I was trying on dresses in their shop. Debbie was awesome. She put me in her sample room and told me to try on whatever dresses I liked. She then went into the main showroom and let me try on her current samples! She sold me her only sample of a current season dress, and crisis averted. She was great, helpful, and really calm which helped in the tense situation! I highly recommend this shop. They are unpretentious and really just want to help you find the dress of your dreams! I will tell any bride or Mother of the bride or groom to go there! You will have a great no-stress experience! They also have a great selection of bridal accesories!

I went to Lace and Beads about a month ago to look for my perfect wedding gown and guess what?! I found it there. This was the second salon that I visited to try to find a gown. As soon as I walked in, Debbie greeted me and we chatted about the kind of dress I was looking for. She was very helpful but not pushy and I ended up purchasing my gown from her. There’s plenty of parking and the service is superb!
