History
Established in 2010.
The Original opened in 1998 in the former Boulevard Café location The space was transformed to resemble the owners experiences traveling Tapas Bars throughout Spain, including many travels to San Sebatian, Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga & Sitges. Much of the art, mosaic bar. Famous Nude Body paintings by famed KC artist, Peregrine Honig, & Metal work by Artists «Stretch» & Jesse Smalls are all reflective of the great works of famous Spanish artists Picasso, Dali, Miro & Guadi.
La Bodega’s 2nd location opened in October of 2010 in Leawood, Kansas, duplicating the same successful Tapas Menu that has served the Urban core of Kansas City Well. It has a more modern contemporary urban twists, while celebrating much of the same art influences and mosaic bar as it’s older sister restaurant. Both locations boast some of the best street patio/sidewalk café dining in the city, while the Leawood location has more room to accommodate large parties & private dining.
