You probably already know whether a Xmas-all-year store is for you, am I right? The Tannenbaum Shoppe is run by the same owners as the Nutcracker Museum next door, and it’s jam-packed with every kind of collectible, keepsake, birthstone figurine and personalized item you could possibly want. The store is surprisingly large and deep and probably has more nutcrackers than you’ve ever seen in one place unless you just came from the Nutcracker Museum.(If you’re hesitant to pay the admission fee, a visit to this store will give you a similar experience for free, although you won’t get to see the scary-amazing medieval-looking nutcrackers.) There are also decorated trees and a full wall dedicated to extremely fancy, fragile, and expensive Xmas ornaments of all kinds. The non-holiday stuff includes lots of Hallmark-store-type items — personalized gifts, wizard and fairy figurines, just every type of tchotchke you can think of. They also have a decent selection of kitschy Leavenworth postcards if you need to send some to the folks back home. Not recommended for kids, as this store is jam-packed with expensive and breakable stuff. Leave them at the hat store while you pick out your blown-glass ornaments and Star Wars nutcrackers.
