Riverside Vacation Home

Almost two years later and we had the opportunity to come back and stay in this beautiful home again! We love that it fits larger groups and people can spread out over the multiple levels of the home. My favorite is relaxing by the fire with the beautiful windows overlooking the river. If it hadn’t been pouring down rain we would’ve used the outdoor fire pit and listened to the rushing river. But it’s a house you want to sit in and be cozy in when it’s pouring outside so we were happy regardless.
I have nothing negative to say about this home. It is beautiful and is a place you can truly relax in. We also love that it is a two minute drive to Leavenworth and all the cute restaurants and shops the town has to offer!
Not to mention its proximity to Safeway for that last minute grocery need.
We have stayed in several homes in the Leavenworth area and this is without a doubt our favorite.
The rental staff also made our experience pleasant and it was so simple to reserve this home and have all the info we needed for our stay.

We used Riverside Properties — both houses, and the loft — as the site for our small (50-​ish people) wedding in September, and every step of the process was fantastic. My goal for our venue was to find a place to bring everyone together for a low-​key (but still fancy and beautiful!) way, in an outdoor setting. We looked at Riverside Properties last fall, and I just knew it was perfect.
Part of that decision was definitely the property manager, as I think the people you do business with are half of the joy/​battle, depending on how it goes. Darrilyn was wonderful to work with, from setting up a time to view the property, planning a few logistical things (what to do in case of rain? ports-​potties??), to knowing that they were there for us if needed, but trusted us to respect the gorgeous property we were able to rent, and have the best wedding possible. They did a couple things for us that were above and beyond, including a bottle of champagne and card for Adam and I in our suite.
Many of our guests told us throughout the night and continue to in the weeks following, that it was the best wedding they have ever been to, and a huge part of that is thanks to this wonderful place. We used the main kitchen to make all the food, with help from family and friends, the ceremony took place on the lawn facing the the river and mountains, and guests could see salmon jumping in the river behind us. (Are you kidding me?! True story!!) Dinner was on the other side of the lawn and the porches, with the buffet in the conference room/​basement — perfect layout for people to walk through and out to their tables, and dancing was in the multi-​purpose room beneath the loft, with doors on three sides open to the night air. We made use of the hot tubs and the volleyball pit, and the grills — pretty much took advantage of everything we could! The next day a few close friends hung out with Adam and I on the little sand beach, where we swam (in the crazy cold river), watched salmon jump, had a flock of geese fly over, and just enjoyed the wonderful view.
I don’t know how organized this review was, I could rave about the experience forever! We had no issues at all with the property (we voiced our concerns based on these reviews, and they said the new neighbor has had no complaints to date). I recommend you view the hidden reviews (everywhere on Unilocal) to judge for yourself. Hopefully that doesn’t get mine blocked! :)

Absolutely stunning place located on the riverbed and with a backdrop to the mountains. Took my wedding photos here because of gorgeous setting. Probably one of the most picturesque places in central Washington w/​its own woods and private beach! This is a truly special spot!

This place was fantastic. It is within walking distance to downtown L-​town, but far enough away to feel pretty special. We all congregated there for a bachelorette party weekend, to go skiing and whatnot around the town. plenty of room for everyone, very luxurious, so much fun! It’s only about 40-​min away from Mission Ridge, which is sweet, and there is a nice cross-​country course in Leavenworth (score), and also, we went snowmobiling. Hot-​tubbing. volleyball in the snow.
I had an incredibly pleasant experience with the staff! I don’t know… if those other reviewers were even talking about the same place. I think the only negative thing is that it isn’t closer to Mission Ridge, but, what are you gonna do? Stay in Wenatchee? ha. No. This cabin is totally worth the drive! and, Leavenworth is such a cute town!

We went for New Years with a big group and it was so fun! There is plenty of space for everyone! We loved how close it was to town and the grocery store. We also enjoyed the fire pit and view. It really is a beautiful house. If you need space for a large group I would highly recommend this place. We all had a bed. Even my husband and I got one of the smallest rooms in the house and still were happy with it. It was nice that we didn’t have to be on a air mattress or a couch. I also loved the big kitchen. A big group means lots of cooking. It was a fun New Years! We would rent again!

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT stay at this place unless you plan on sitting quietly with your knitting needles the entire time. We loved the gigantic gorgeous cabin which fit a large group and was a great space to hang out. Unfortunately, the owners/​property managers put a very sour taste in our mouths and we will never return.
Quiet hours start at 10pm. The first night, they came over to us a little after 9pm saying we were being too loud and this is «not a party house». We were all sitting around the bonfire talking with music playing on a small speaker that could not be heard from 20 feet away.
A few times, we saw them sitting in their cars in the driveway when we came and went from the cabin. Um… creepy?
The next night, the folks staying in the next cabin came over to apologize for being too loud (they weren’t). Apparently the owners had gone over to them at 8:45 and kicked them out of their hot tub because their «neighbors» complained. We were the only neighbors.
Finally on the day we were leaving, we had to be out by 11am. We were finishing loading up our car at around 10:50am and the owners were sitting in their cars waiting for us to be done. They started filing into the cabin by about 10:55. They were rude and unfriendly.
We paid a lot of money for this place and were very courteous guests. Next year we will find a better place where we don’t have the owners spying on us during our entire stay.
Will update this review if they make any ridiculous charges against us for the 1 mug that got broken.
