History
Established in 1979.
In 1975, Rudolf and Antje Prey, Sr. immigrated to the USA after selling the farm they owned in Germany. They purchased an orchard on one of their visits after they were told that in order to immigrate from their country they had to own land.
Located just east of Leavenworth, WA on the Highway 2, the old barn doors opened for business in 1979 with just a few bins of pears and apples. Changes were made to the orchard and the land by moving hillsides and filling canyons to create new ground for fruit varieties not common to the general area.
In 1985, the barn and the grounds were renovated to include a new picnic area, restrooms, paved driveway and a 100 ft, pole flag that proudly bears a 30×50 foot American flag.
In 1996, Rudolf and Antje turned over to the 70 acres orchard and fruit stand to their son, Rudy Prey, Jr. Mrs. Prey continue to work at the fruit stand assisting new and returning customers.
