Here at Lighthouse Learning Academy our children’s daily activities are centered around a program known as the Creative Curriculum. This curriculum is a hands-​on learning system that builds children’s self-​esteem and self-​help skills, inspires discovery, and promotes effective social interaction. This curriculum is intended to gradually prepare our children for school during their early years. We meet and strive to exceed Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services minimum Standards and Guidelines for Day Care Centers.

We have been recognized by the State of Texas, Texas Rising Star program which means we are going above and beyond the State requirements in our center.

History

Established in 2002.

Our mission is to provide a clean and safe educational «hands-​on» learning environment where children can learn, play, and build self-​confidence while their parents enjoy peace of mind.

Children of all ages are offered a variety of educational experiences through daily curriculum involved; cooking projects, science experiments, art activities, scavenger hunts and more.

Lighthouse Learning Academy offers a stimulating environment with a «hands-​on», developmental approach to learning. Children are offered a variety of experiences which enhance the child’s emotional, social, and intellectual growth and development. We facilitate each child’s natural development by providing a varied and multidimensional environment where, through play, children make decisions and discoveries that will enable them to make sense of their world.

Meet the Manager

Cynthia K.

Manager

Cynthia is our center Director, licensed and approved by Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Cynthia has extensive experience and has been with the center for over six years. Her outgoing personality and friendliness is appreciated by the parents and staff alike.

Under her leadership the center has received Texas Rising Star accreditation, by far, exceeding minimum standards as prescribed by Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Her dedication in educating the children is exemplary. Her hiring philosophy is to ensure that all teachers in the center have an educational background in the field of Early Childhood Education. She is a believer in continuing education for the staff and herself.
