Specialties
traditional family restaurant serving Lawton since 1957
History
Established in 1957.
Hello, my name is Faye Salas. My late husband Viviano and I opened Salas’ restaurant (Little Mexico) on Sheridan and Gore in 1957 across from Wayne’s Drive-In. We expanded and built the current restaurant on Lee Blvd in the 1970s. Salas’ has always been a family business. Many of you remember my husband, mother ‘Mama,’ two daughters Emma and Rita, grandchildren and nieces and nephews working at the restaurant over the years.

Viviano Salas started off cooking at the Officer’s Club at Fort Sill where he learned to cater to military officers. He then started Little Mexico in 1957, later opening the larger location at 111 SW Lee Blvd in the early 70s.
