Specialties
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I provide therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families experiencing a diverse range of emotional difficulties and challenges.
Though technique and expertise are important roles, I firmly believe that progress comes from 2 critical factors: Client motivation and the strength of the therapeutic relationship. Thus, my priority is to ensure when you are in my office, we are working in an environment where you feel at your safest and most secure to express your most authentic and transparent self. As our trust and relationship grows, I assure you my engagement and desire to provide professional guidance will only grow as we identify factors affecting the various areas of your life. Throughout the therapeutic process, you can expect to learn vital self-awareness when it comes to factors affecting your self-esteem, personal triggers leading to unhealthy choices and behaviors, and your ability to recognize the difference between normal feelings and reactions to your environment, and when it’s time to seek intervention and support from others.
To sum up: I’ve developed and continue to develop my expertise in this field because I’m passionate about learning each of my clients’ unique stories, learning who they are as complex individuals, and being a part of their journey as they seek the happiness and fulfillment all of us deserve.
History
Established in 2014.
I began my career as a Professional Counselor after graduating from Western Kentucky University in 2007 with an M.A. in Clinical Psychology. I worked as a school-based counselor with a mental health agency before moving to Nashville, Tn in 2009. There, I spent a year working with a team of therapists assigned to the local inner city alternative school for teenagers with severe behavioral problems. Following my work there, I moved down to Georgia, where I my work has been with community agencies who provide counseling in-home and in-school to children and their families.
I began my transition to Private Practice last year following my desire to create my own business, but to also work directly with clients motivated to seek out change and healing in their lives.
