Great food. Chicken fingers are huge, moist, and crunchy. Beer by the bucket elevates stress. Burgers is plentiful, just remember to ask for condiments. Fries hot and crunchy. House music awesome, just request they turn it up.

Had the displeasure of a friend recommending this place as a destination for gameday. The one heads up he did give us was that the«food is terrible, but the drinks are cheap» 2⁄2 on that call. And that’s about the only positive. I’m guessing Dillon is the guy that decides which tvs will have which games… Aka the remote nazi… As asking anyone to put in the Georgia game was a task in and of itself and was only accompanied by some power tripping bearded gent, trying his best to inconvenience everyone. Anyway, on a positive, the fried pickles were actually decent and the drinks were cheap. Negatives, my friends wings weren’t touched because they weren’t tasty, and his girlfriends burger was over cooked, also you have to deal with«the remote nazi» and being told we were«too rowdy» to put it lightly. This is not a destination for gameday fans, and I can’t recommend ever going here. This place receives one star for the simple fact that they have decently priced drinks. Avoid.

Dillion’s is a great place for the value. The service is very good, they are very attentive. Weekend they have live music. We had a very good time.

I ordered chicken bites and a side of fries for $ 11 something. Pretty overpriced but it was late and nothing else is open. Chicken bites are really good and worth the money. The fries were hot, wet, and soggy. The portion was huge and unnecessary. $ 3. Could feed 4 people. But they were very gross and I threw them away. I asked multiple times for honey mustard because I can’t eat fries and chicken fingers without it! I really wanted it. Didn’t get it. Drove to the store to buy honey mustard. Lol. Just wow. Disappointing experience. Update: this food made me feel sick even until now today. I feel bad low rating this place but it’s bad. The lady at the bar was super nice but still got my order wrong.

Popped in for lunch. The bartender was rude and too busy eating her lunch and texting to serve customers in a timely manner. I mean really!

Hmm I think i’ve been spoiled by all the amazing food I’ve had since writing Unilocal reviews, because this is the first time I would rate a place 2 stars for their food. There are so many great things about this place, but the food is not one of them. My cousin and I couldn’t find any open places today that we usually frequent(Indian, Thai, even this Chicago-sandwichs place was closed) so we settled on this bar that she has played poker at before. They had some lunch specials until 4pm and the server was nice enough to let us still order from that menu even though it was barely after 4pm. We ordered some pulled pork tacos and we both are big fans of wings, so we got their wings. Hmm… their pulled pork tacos need some work in my opinion. The pulled pork was dry, and it came with cole slaw which did nothing for the taco. I guess it helps they give a couple of things like sour cream to add to the taco, but none of the condiments seemed to help. It wasn’t until we requested some spicy BBQ that we found a good sauce for the taco. The spicy BBQ wasn’t very spicy either and it had a sweet taste instead of a spicy taste. I think these have huge potential if they just change it around a little by maybe adding the BBQ to the pulled pork and making a BBQ pulled pork taco or something. However, they just didn’t do it for us. It was cool though the special that was about $ 7 came with 3 tacos instead of 2 as the server thought. For wings, they only let you choose two different flavors if you get the 20 or more, not the 10. So we got 20. We chose Cajun BBQ and medium. The Cajun BBQ also had more of a sweet taste than a BBQ taste. We did not enjoy these at all. We did really enjoy the medium wings though. The flavor was great. However, my cousin and I have had way more amazing wings at other places. We were just happy to have had something that tasted okay. They make their house ranch and blue cheese dressings in house and the ranch tasted pretty good, but the blue cheese seemed off in some way. It just didn’t taste right to us. The service here was awesome though! The server was really friendly and for some reason she reminds me of «southern hospitality» which this bar kinda felt like a Southern bar. There were lots of patrons sitting at the bar, but everyone seemed to be an older crowd. My cousin has played poker here before and says that out of all the places she has played poker this place is her least favorite because the people are more rude. Due to the fact that there are so many wings options in the area, I don’t think I would come back just for their wings, and I don’t know if i’m interested in trying any of their other choices.

The wife and I try to visit Dillons at least once or twice a month. We don’t go there expecting a five star experience, what we do go there for is the neighborhood atmosphere. You know, everyone is friendly and wait staff is extremely pleasant. The bar drinks are not overpriced and to be fair the food is ok. That’s why I gave it a three. If you just want to kick back, relax, and enjoy hanging out with your friends this is the place to go.

Place is not where you want to be. Full of neighborhood old timers. Food takes forever. Chicken wings came out Dried out like the customers we saw. Do yourself a favor and don’t go into the bathrooms. Will make you gag, dirty, nasty and OLD.

«Eating fried pickles was a life changing experience.» Snooki: Okay I won’t go that far, but the fried pickles are pretty good. Dillon’s is part neighborhood, part sports, and part dive bar. I had a chance to catch the World Cup here a couple of times and found the staff and daytime regulars to be friendly and welcoming. Overall, A-OK!

I love to support local business and I’ve lived in the area for 24 years. This is not the Dillion’s it once was, when my family would go for great BBQ ribs and an onion loaf. Now it’s become a sad, tired bar, frequented by sad tired bar flies. I usually don’t like giving bad reviews but the Dillion’s we once loved is long passed, replaced by a worn out looking dive and surly management. Not a place for families anymore, I would never want kids around the drunks at the pool table or the indifferent staff. I keep hoping they’ll upgrade it some, and get a decent manager, and if they do I’ll give it another try but until then it’s dropped to nothing more than a liquor joint in a strip mall with bad bar food. You had a chance to make a nice little«Cheers» watering hole for the neighborhood. Right now you get nothing but jeers. Come on, shape up, get some management who gives a damn, corral the obnoxious drunks, and you could have a following again.

My wife and I have been going to Dillon’s for about 8 years. Unfortunately, they have new owners and things have changed for the worse. They have changed the menu which has become smaller. They also have a new manager named Michael that is not overly concerned about your dining experience. The service was terrible. Our waiter was pretty much clueless and could not do mathematics nor bring bread. When I complained to Michael, you could tell he had heard it all before. Never once did he offer to comp anything and we spent about $ 50.00. There were about half as many customers here as there were the last time we came and I can see why. The food is good and fairly priced. Just order it to go and you’ll be much happier.(At one time you could order an onion ring loaf. Our server told us they didn’t serve it anymore because the basket they made it in had become rusty and they had to throw it out.)

If I could rate it lower I would. For your own good eat at Sonics across the parking lot. I am not a disgruntled employee but I am a fan of the old Dillons. I was once a weekly customer back just 3 years ago. The food used to be some of the best pub food and it was like that for most of my 30 years in this area. I was excited about being in the area again. I was bragging all the way there to my party about this place. That was short lived. My wings were dry and tasteless. My son ordered a cheesesteak that came out with cold raw green peppers. Really? Raw? Has anyone in this place ever even seen a cooking show let alone cooked a really philly? Two in my party ordered the Reuben. Let’s just say the thin toasted bread was thicker than the meat section of the sandwich. But they weren’t running low on the saurkraut. It used to be by 6pm on a Thursday it was getting packed. I should have gotten the clue when the staff seemed surprised people were sitting down to eat. Yes we were early at 5:30 but by the time we left at 6:30 we were still the only ones eating. This place is not down hill it’s at the bottom. It’s become another bar catering to poker. Gone are the dart boards and they even removed one pool table. The only thing gathering here are the drinkers and vegas poker wanna bees. A sad testiment to a place I onced enjoyed. The only bright spot was a cold bottle of beer, hard to screw that up and it is still non smoking. My recommendation is at least change the name and let the old one be remembered for something if its not to late.

Finally tried this place after 8 years living just a couple miles away. It’s tuck away in a shopping center that is not a real happening place. I think the food was fine, reasonably priced, same with drinks. Our waitress was very good. She was friendly, always showed up at the right time, and made us feel welcomed. That said, this is definitely a place for the 50 and up crowd. Which we are, but it was just a little creepy seeing this age group drinking, dancing, groping one another like high schoolers. This crowd seemed to all know each other. Atmosphere is lacking for sure. I probably wouldn’t go back due to the clientele, not the restaurant itself. Like the previous reviewer said, it’s a fabulous place to people watch, and to feel good about yourself.

Just happened upon this place while out and about. The atmosphere was much like the bar on Cheers. Everyone knew everyone else. I ordered chicken fingers and my husband had the steak. When the chicken fingers arrived I could tell right away that they were fresh and hand battered. The steak, which I must say was very well priced for the size, was as good as any I have had anywhere. The wait staff was also more than expected. They were very knowledgeable about the food and very friendly. Will return soon.

This bar is strange, a mix of 40’s+, townies, and kids that are obviously either recent college grads or back for a weekend at home. Every time I’m there it makes me miss bars in Atlanta and Dekalb due to Gwinnett’s dumb laws. But its not too expensive so it is ok even if the band is always too loud.

The memories that I have hanging out at Dillon’s with my friends when I went to Georgia Perimeter College are memories that I would prefer to erase, if that was possible. Well, not all of the memories. How about 95% of the memories? Dillon’s is basically a bar in Lawrenceville that receives business from a strange yet wide variety of customers. Their largest customer base seems to be recently graduated college students that are trying to find a job and living with their parents in the mean time. The older working class frequents this area as well. Whenever I went to this bar I always noticed these two groups never really associating. It was almost as if there was a turf war at Dillon’s between the recently graduated and the older working class, because they rarely socialized with one another and always seemed to be teaming up in pairs to compete in a game of pool. The bar owners do a pretty good job though keeping the place clean and relatively entertaining. They host various game day broadcasts for college and professional sporting events on television. They also have poker tournaments on select nights during the week. The last time I was here I saw a group of guys playing pool become so intoxicated they were literally arguing amongst themselves and threatening each other with pool sticks in their hands. I would have been worried had they been able to stand up straight for 30 seconds. I know it is difficult for a bartender to regulate how intoxicated an individual has become through the course of the night. But for Pete’s sake, get some bouncers or something to monitor behavior similar to these drunken buffoons.
