Camp Bow Wow Lawrenceville

The staff and owner at this location are superb.
I called the day I arrived in Lawrenceville. I’m located in Atlanta, but frequent the area to see family. My baby girl goes everywhere with me so giving her a fun safe environment is detrimental. They were able to get me in for a temperament test that next morning. The moment I arrived the staff made Eleanor feel right at home. They let me know the process, and even let me watch her on camera as she was being introduced to the dog pack. She passed with flying colors! She stayed the entire day, and I looked in on her via Web cam a few times during her stay. She had a ball! When I picked her up; Kathy immediately came out to greet me. She gave me some goodies, a status, and picture of her day. Anytime I’m in the area I will definitely be coming to Camp Bow Wow. Thanks again guys. Eleanor and I were thrilled :)

Great service and staff. Initially I was a bit hesitant about day care for my dog, but after my first time there, I knew it was the right thing. They do a great job and my dog comes home tired which is impressive since she’s a 1.5yo lab mix with near endless energy.

Our dog loves the Camp Bow Wow! We first brought him for a test day into the Barking Hound Village in Cheshire Bridge Road because it is closer to our house. But this was a mess. Therefore we better travel a couple miles more and know our dog feels comfortable.
First visit for us was in Tampa at the Camp Bow Wow which already was great. This camp is as well perfect. Friendly, clean, they listen to you and know about dogs.
In addition they offer a free web cam! At Barking Hound Village they want you to pay 4.99…

I took my dogs in for their temperament test. I was a little worried because they can be shy at first. But, the staff took the time to let them warm up and were encouraging to them. I checked in throughout the day via their webcams and they were petting and talking to the dogs, and seemed to genuinely care about them. I have booked my pups for a weeklong stay in the coming months and love that they have webcams so I will be able to check in on them (all the time because I’ll miss them like crazy). Thanks to the staff at Camp Bow Wow, for taking such great care of my pups!

Love Camp Bow Wow. My dog always has a great time and comes home tired. Staff is always very friendly.

Took my dogs here this morning for their temperament test. After about 15 minutes, I was told that they could not handle or leash one of my dogs and so they would not be accepted as campers. I was pretty surprised that a 15-​minute (by no means the 45 minutes they indicated is sometimes necessary for dogs to feel comfortable) assessment was deemed sufficient to determine if my dogs could stay there for three weeks and given that they have stayed at two other pet daycare facilities (Barkadelphia and Best Friends) without any problems.
I left and called Gypsy Paws. Gypsy Paws took them and kept them for about three hours. When I came back to pick them up, they told me they had passed the temperament test with flying colors and seemed like old pros at daycare. My dogs are now happily booked at Gypsy Paws.
In the end, if you can’t handle or leash a dog that has been cared for by now three other facilities, you may be in the wrong business. Also, if you think that 15 minutes is enough time for all dogs to adapt to an environment, then, again, you probably don’t know enough about dogs to be providing these services.
The facility is new (about 3 months I believe) so perhaps with time, better training and more experienced staff they will improve, but, for now, don’t waste your time.
Also, if you do decide to go, get directions. Your GPS will be insufficient. They are in the back of an office park and they have no signage. Another piece of information that would have been helpful when I initially booked, but again, this is a new facility with a very young, inexperienced staff.

I am a bit of a snob when it comes to my dog and where I will leave her. I have «shopped» many places to leave my very active 7 month old puppy. Most I found either had rude staff or didn’t feel clean. When I walked into Camp Bow Wow in Lawrenceville I was thrilled with what I encountered. The staff was amazing and the facility was SPOTLESS! I am more than thrilled at the experience my pup is getting when I take her to camp for the day! She comes home happy and tired… Just what we all love!

My dog thought he had died and gone to doggie heaven on his first day there. He was so tired from playing all day with the other doggies that he plopped down on his doggie bed and passed out when I got him home that afternoon. The staff took good care of him and made sure everyone played safely together. What I really like is that I can watch him play on my iPad and I swear I could actually see him smile!
I took a look around while I was there and was very impressed with how the organization itself also. How the boarding process works, the separate feeding arrangements, bathing, etc.
It’s a clean, safe, friendly, roomy and fun environment for dogs. I wish there was a Bow Wow camp like this for me to go to for the day.

My dog loves her stays at Camp Bow Wow! Since we started boarding her here, she has become more sociable with other dogs and much less frightened of new people. I love that I can check in on her on the doggy Web cams and see how much fun she’s having. The staff are great with her and always super flexible if I’m running a little late or have forgotten something. I live across town, and it is worth the drive to know my dog is in good (and loving) hands!

The people were friendly, the video to be able to check in on my pup is wonderful and he left happy and relaxed.

My dog loves it here! I have taken her a few times for the doggy day care and she is always excited when we get there and is tired when I take her home :). The staff are really nice and genuinely love my dog as well. It is also really clean. I also love that you can watch your dog on the camp bow wow app on your phone!
