My husband and I walked into Britt’s(Monroe location) one Saturday morning to look at carpet and laminate and get an appointment set up to measure. The guy that was working that morning seemed less than thrilled that we were there. After he finished helping one customer he slowly made his way over to us and was not very friendly at all. He took down our name and number and was going to have somebody call us on Monday to schedule an appointment. We never received that call, I had to call back to get an appointment. The gentleman that came out to measure was very friendly and for his job done quickly. Then we went into the Lawrenceville office, where they have a great selection of carpet and laminate to chose from. I met with our salesperson and he was helpful and showed me all of my options. I picked out some carpet and laminate(which showed a certain price«installed», this is not the case) and they began working on my quote. My heart about stopped when he told me the price to have this work done. When I told him that was way more than I wanted to spend and would have to go elsewhere he just sent us along our way. I don’t know if it was the fact that they were closing or that they didn’t really need/want our business. We never got another call back to see if we wanted them to price out different stuff for us or anything. So we called Hardy’s and had a great experience with them from start to finish. We picked out the same stuff and saved almost $ 3,000! Not only were the prices much better but so was the customer service.

Britts was very easy to work with. There were a few hiccups along the way but they worked hard and made sacrifices on their end in order to ensure we were happy. I would absolutely use them again.

My experience was so good with them, beginning to end, I am baffled by the low ratings from others. In addition to internet and in-person shopping, I got written estimates from four companies before going with Britt’s and found even the other companies they had nothing bad to say about Britt’s and that gave me a higher level of comfort. Although I prefer spending with small businesses instead of big box stores, because of the amount of money involved I checked into big box this time as I was researching options– product, pricing, and so on. I have learned that you get what you pay for and tend to go middle-of-the-road: not big box low-end and not high end. We weren’t looking to spend $ 15k+ on flooring for part of a house we’ll only be in a couple more years, and knew we would be paying for installation so decided on laminate planks– supposed to be great for small children & pets. One company’s quote came in well over $ 8k higher than Britt’s and they had nowhere near the selection as Britt’s. None of the other companies had the exact product I purchased. Also, Britt’s has their own installers, which is great because I don’t want hire-for-the-day workers in my home. Jim Schaffer was my sales contact for about 1100sf of laminate plank flooring. From picking out the right planks to just prior to installation, he walked me through the process so I understood how everything worked. I had many questions before installation and he answered them all knowledgeably and patiently, in person and on the phone. I found Britt’s has a very wide selection of flooring and some products that aren’t readily available in «big box» stores. Of all the places I looked– online and in stores– they were also the only ones who had the particular product I liked best at reasonable pricing. I found there isn’t a vast difference in pricing of the product or services(except 50Floor which was significantly higher), and ultimately decided that if other companies had no negative reaction to their name that said a lot about them. I’m glad I went with Britt’s. Installation was scheduled for a two-day period. Installers were working by 9:30. They worked super quickly and cleaned up as they progressed, which was nice because there was a lot of dust. Installers were friendly, helpful, and even jovial despite the fact that they didn’t leave until after 10pm AND they had to move a 9′ Christmas tree. They completed the work the same day instead of over two days, which was wonderful. We have a stone fireplace & hearth and they cut the planks to fit as close to the stones as possible– a lot of small cuts– and it looks beautiful because they took the extra time to do this. Additionally, we have a lot of odd angles in our living areas, they did a great job with all the angles, and we had squeaky areas in our floors which they fixed. My experience was so great with them that we will definitely return for other projects as we spruce up our home. I HIGHLY recommend them. Many, many thanks to Britt’s!

Great experience until I paid, then it became average. Let me explain… They have a good and wide selection of flooring. I went in to the store one Saturday for carpet samples, made an appointment for someone to come out on that Monday to measure. They answered all of my questions and were very knowledgeable. This is where things fell off a bit… because I don’t live close, I conducted business online including payment. I provided my payment information and heard nothing back. Two days later, the charge comes through on my card. Still no communication. I contacted them to figure out status and got my installation date set up for three weeks later. After that, I never heard another word. Installers showed up at 10(they got lost and called me — which was a bit difficult as they didn’t speak English very well…). They did a great job on install and I love my new carpet, but wondered why the sudden drop off in customer service once they had my money.

They sold me a brand new fridge that didn’t work, then gave me the runaround. They had me calling repair shops all over Atlanta before finally agreeing to replace it. Then they came out and removed the defective fridge and installed the new one as they should have. If I had to do it again I’d go to Brandsmart, which ended up being a hair cheaper for the same fridge anyway.
