One of the nations longest established private hearing centers, with a staff of 3 Audiologists conducting diagnostic audiological evaluations and hearing aid fittings for both children and adults. All Audiologists are licensed and certified and each holds a Doctor of Audiology degree.

The office is located in Nassau County, on Long Island’s south shore. The office is in the five towns, convenient to communities such as Belle Harbor, Oceanside, Island Park, Lynbrook, Valley Stream.

Hearing aids are from most major manufacturers, including Widex, Oticon, Starkey, Unitron, Phonak, Sonic Innovation. Walk-​in service center is open daily 9:00 — 5:00.

Most major insurance plans are accepted and Visa, MasterCard and Discover.

Dr. Wilks began his work in Audiology in 1972 at the Lexington School for the Deaf, located in Jackson Heights, New York. He provided pediatric evaluations and was involved in some of the earliest research into digital hearing aids.

In 1973, he joined the Mount Sinai Medical Center, in New York City, where he became Coordinator of Audiology Services. He served as supervisor of Audiologists and graduate level audiology students and as Lecturer to the Ear, Nose and Throat residency program.

In 1978, he left Mount Sinai to operate the Wilks Hearing Center.
