This cinema will be closing next month. The reason Inability to compete with AMC at the Loop They would be been still around had they gone to second run, independent or an occasional Spanish film My last visit was in 2012 I was told that it was even deserted on opening night for Star Wars!

This theater is horrible. The seats are uncomfortable, the staff doesn’t seem to want to work or be there, and it’s just not clean. If you go on a weekday when it’s not as busy, good luck trying to find someone that’s working the concessions counter. Go to the Loop instead.

This theater smells like feet! Even out in the foyer it smelled like stinky feet now I can understand the seats smelling like swamp ass for obvious reasons but pu guy!

I like this theater, because it’s cheaper than the Loews theater in Methuen and in my experiences, less busy. They also have discounted Tuesday nights, which I like. Good for those who can’t make the matinees.

We chose this theater as it was close to our Southern New Hampshire home. What a disappointment this was, especially if compared with the Showcase at legacy Place in Dedham, MA. The Showcase(building 7 – 14) in Lawrence, MA is an old worn cinema complex in a bad neighborhood with only a few theaters, so not a full 12 or more like a modern cinema. The layout inside is chaotic, confusing and complicated and the exterior and interior are very old, outdated and worn. They have split the theatres over two buildings which are at a driving distance(so no walk) from each other. The signage is almost non-existent. Try finding a men’s bathroom when you exit a theatre. You won’t(ladies only?). It also stinks everywhere inside the foyer and the toilets are old and dirty. The access roads to the cinema are like a maze, not straightforward. Be careful you do not run over some of the drunk kids hanging out at the side of the road. Attendance at the cinema was small on an otherwise busy Friday evening. The socalled stadium seats in the theaters are not really modern stadium seats. They lack the head rests. There were less than 10 people in the theater with the Green Lantern movie that we watched. We’ll not visit this cinema again. It is likely worth the few extra miles to the Hooksett, NH Cinemagic to get more modernity and comfort, better seats, more cleanliness, a safer environment, more movie choices etc.

Pretty straightforward movie theatre. I like how they separate the movies by 2 in each corner of the building lol. The arcade was sad, but I like how they have those claw machines that would let you play until you win a prize. And my favorite, Time Crisis 3 is also available for you gamers out there. The seats are ok. They can lean back pretty far, but you can’t pull back the arm rests outta your way. I saw Despicable Me there in 3D, and I liked how they had 3D glasses in kid sizes too!(I have a small head).

I saw Iron Man here tonight. The seats were a little uncomfortable, but the place was nice and well kept.

Showcase Lawrence has a good thing going… they’ve got two SEPARATE locations, on opposite sides of Rt. 114. The movies are split pretty evenly between the two locations, so that the rowdy crowd doesn’t overpower one place. Ironically, however, this is why I gave them only 4⁄5 stars. Why? Because if you’re at Cinemas 1 – 6 and the movie you want to see is sold out, it’s a LONG trip to Cinemas 7 – 14 if your second choice is playing there! Service is always friendly, theaters and bathrooms are clean. I’m a teacher in Lawrence, and they’re great about letting us bring a HUGE group of students(like, 75 kids) in during the day(some places have said no!).
