Goodcents Deli Fresh Subs

Moving to a college town you look for fast casual food that is inexpensive and fills you up, this place is just that. I’ve tried all other sandwich shops in the Lawrence area and Mr Goodcents is the freshest food, with the absolute best bread. This particular location has a manager that couldn’t be nicer, he’s always welcoming and his staff is just as friendly.

Hm. How would I describe Mr Goodcents?
He’s a old, friendly fellow with the corner house that requires some remodeling. You might often miss his house when you drive by, since his neighbor, Panera, was recently remodeled into a lovely place. While he’s been around a while and has some of the standard fare, he’s just not willing to pump things up a notch.
Came here on a whim, and found it to be dim inside with basic seating that was both drab and a bit uncomfortable.
The turkey sandwich was pretty sad looking compared to what you can get at Subway, Quiznos, or Panera. Granted, this is a smaller chain, but I expected the bread to be a bit fresher and substantial. I did appreciate that the turkey was freshly deli sliced, but their assortment of veggies was smaller.
Mr Goodcents needs to revamp things on several levels if he wants to be running around with the young neighborhood he lives in. If you want a super basic sandwich that looks like one you make at home, come here. Otherwise hit up the bigger chains.
